How do you feel about backstory episodes in anime? Any favorites? Why?

Well it's not an anime, yet, but it's just so great I have to include it.

Akaza's backstory in Kimetsu no Yaiba. It's so tragic and beautiful that it left me crying. That's the first I've cried on a backstory and no doubt the best part of the manga.

It was okay , but not too much , that's why Naruto Shippuden only got 8.2

My personal favorite flashback episode is space history episodes of LoGH , it feels like watching history channel documentary

Others will be Kiritsugu flashback in Fate/Zero.
