LINDO! Simplesmente um anime maravilhoso e muito bem descrito. Esse anime tocou meu coração de uma forma que eu nunca imaginei também.
Descreve bem a situação de cada personagem, principalmente o aprendizado de Violet, e a superação/aprendizado de cada história que a Violet presencia. Simplesmente maravilhoso.

This is so hard to rate. It's felt perfect in every single way, but didn't enjoy every single aspect to give it a 10. If it was episode 10 alone, it would get a 10.

That was a nice ending. I was on the edge for whether or not to I should watch the movie, but the end of this episode makes me wanna watch it now. Good stuff.

It's genuinely a great show that I think everyone should give a chance.

This show looks incredibly nice and that's honestly all I can say about it. It clearly wasn't for me (although based on the blurb it seemed appealing enough) but based on how popular the show is/was and how highly rated it is I'm curious who exactly watched this show. Obviously it got pretty close to mainstream but it couldn't have been with the same people that watched Attack on Titan or Jujutsu Kaisen or probably even Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Again, not begrudging the show's success but I'm just genuinely curious where it all came from.

Anyway, I just feel like this whole show is out in the open from the very first episode. The show is about Violet's healing journey of self-discovery after losing her purpose and about how other people have feelings and whatever. And just...nothing is ever even the slightest bit surprising or new at any point. It felt like misery porn where this comically robotic girl watches people be sad about stuff and then helps them a little bit before moving on forever. And I think that made for a pretty boring show given the general weakness of all the character stuff. It has moments where the elements of a given story is sad but its like "Feel sad about this dying mom writing letters to her daughter!" and that's the whole package. I can see people finding each little vignette touching and that leading to an enjoyment of the whole series but that's not for me.

All of the military stuff in this show is idiotic. I didn't really like the world stuff that happens but the military stuff is all such paper-thin trash. I said in a previous post that Violet being 14 sort of ruined this show for me and I feel that even more strongly after finishing it. I thought maybe the books had Violet be literally magical or something and that's how a 14 year-old orphan girl could dominate a battlefield but nope. It's just a preposterous element to the story that I simply could not get around and it is very important to the series. But beyond that, the anime gives no sense to the conflict, really. Its just "mid-century pseudo-Europe doing war stuff because of reasons" and every element of it is cardboard right down to the bad guys just wanting to fight because fighting is what bad guys do. In a series about emotions having several episodes and a lot of major thematic work be invested into something done so badly and with such little emotion is a baffling choice to me.

I'm glad the series is pretty short. I dropped it after 4 episodes back in 2018 and it seems like that was the right choice after all. I thought maybe I'd feel different about it after some time but its the same very pretty and very flat feeling boring show I thought it was back then. Oh well.

Finally, she understood the meaning of love. But it was heartbreaking to realize those emotions. Now the pain feels even worse. I'm anxiously waiting to find out if Gilbert is still alive. If he's not, i think i'll lose my mind over this anime.

This show, out of the many i've seen so far, has been one of the most beautiful and well-made i've ever laid my eyes on. The art style, the soundtrack, the story itself, all of them were so beautifully expressive and emotional. There hasn't been a single episode that hasn't brought me to tears or made me cry outright, but i couldn't be happier about that.

Didn't really like the episodic nature of the 1st half but the episodes that dealt with Violet's past trauma were significantly better
