They pushed back the release date for a year, then there are two studios cooperate as animators. Now, we only got 13 episodes and they adapt the first three volumes? Amazing!

Sufficient, but honestly not interesting. I dropped the LN a little after he meets back up with his class mates in the dungeon.

because of that ... because the timetable is delayed, I think it will get 24 eps...
Btw, how much volume will be taken to make anime material ??

I don't follow LN, I just follow manga, i think it's very interesting...

Usually, it need 2 to 3 volumes of LN for 1 cour (12 to 13 episodes). If the anime got 2 cour (24 to 26 episodes), they need 5 to 7 volumes. The only exception I know is Index II (8 volumes for 24 episodes), and Index III (9 volumes for 26 episodes).

Because it costs money to make anime? It's expensive. This is also from a smaller publisher so they don't have the same resources and partnerships that a big company like Kadokawa has.

Arifureta Vol 10 of the LN has been released recently.

I frown at recent installments of Persona and Trails of Cold Steel that introduce harem-like elements in the story.

We need more JRPGs like the past Lunar series, where there are multiple romantic pairings in the party other than for the protagonist and main heroine.

If at the end of episode 13 they immediately announced the 2nd season slated for spring 2020 then I don't really have much problem though I also preferred to have 24/25 episodes, if they end it on volume 3 it really feels lacking, at least they should end it on volume 4 but that would be kind of fast in term of pacing.

I know that! In fact, I always check the news and memorize the updates. Volume 9 (ENG) in June 8, Volume 10 (JP) in June 25, and the anime tomorrow. And two OVAs in 2020.

That's why, I don't understand why a 9 volume LN (not 10 because the anime production is finished before the 10th volume released) only adapt 3 volumes, got 13 episodes (not counting the OVAs), and have bad CGI (I hope they will fix it or maybe it's just in trailer and PVs). This anime has been delayed for one year and have two studios as animators!

Oh, don't forget the LN is adapted from a finished WN and there are many side stories after the main series.

In case you don't know. The Shield Hero WN is finished and it got 25 episodes. That Time I got reincarnated as a Slime have finished WN too, it got 24 episodes, and a second season in 2020.

Well.. it seems like they only had enough budget for a 3 episode OVA. It's like spreading one spoon of peanut butter over a loaf of bread...
