| Kakeru felt too bothered worrying over his team's lack of competence yet full of confidence — that he became complacent of his ability? he is competitive alright, but the thought was centered on his team as a whole, not to himself. so when he lost in the race to two faster enemies, that must've hurt his pride and had the realization he's leagues behind the ace runners. it's a slap of his own harsh reality. now he's back to his defeatist proclamation agenda, while everyone's drunk anyway lmao. |
