Riko and Reg embark onto their adventure into the abyss. This episode primarily sought to bring forth the brevity that the abyss is. A layered hell descending as each one gets worse than the previous one. It brings tension between Riko and Nat, reminding me of the earlier Aunt, who cannot understand why her husband would want to be a cave digger. I also wonder this, as the orphanage exploits CHILDREN into scavenging for relic to "supposedly" fund themselves. Entering the abyss through the slums of Orth, class disparity is reinforced, with legality and shortened dreams of wealth plummet the ideals of many.

Not a fan of how the narrative in the first half was making Nat look like the bad guy for opposing their journey. Most of what he said could be very true. A 12 year old really can't just say 'yo I'm going over 7 kilometers into the Earth thanks to a scribble see ya'
Riko herself barely even knows much about what truly awaits them in the Abyss.

Well whatever, I'm really hopeful to find out the truth about the Abyss but Riko's attitude is pretty unlikable
