| ...huh. Well that was boring. Wish they would have skipped to the making of the movie. And even then... don't we pretty much know what happens? Wasn't episode 00 more than sufficient to get that across? |

| Good to see something new though it wasn't really the best Haruhi episode ever. A little bit trivial at times, though it's still on a higher level than your average anime episode. Well, it felt pretty much like the first endless 8 episode. Not too interesting overall. Let's see what the rest of this arc will bring us. 3/5 |

| Nothing like the old episodes, and the animation has dropped by a lot... really dissapointing. A totally terrible second season, I hope they won't include The Dissapearance in this season now since its probably the best volumen of the books, and to watch it animated a la K-On! will be just fucking stupid; they would destroy it. 2/5 this episode. |
| Well I am waiting still for a.f.k. to translate it... They don't use new generation of subs like mazui, those new subs can be used in few players only and bug a lot. And mazui isn't that great sub, a.f.k. is far better... ^^ |

I'd give better than 2/5 but I agree completely about the animation especially the radical difference between the Sports Day costuming and the rest of the episode. The biggest difference was in Haruhi herself - in the Sports Day sequence she looked great but in the club room it was like her misshapen blouse was two sizes too big and she forget to wear her boobs to school. And look at Mikuru's maid outfit in S1 (like in "Someday In The Rain") and in this episode - it's absurd. On the bright side, Yuki really rocked and, for me, there was a LOL Haruhi line: "By the way Kyon, do you know what you need to make a movie?" |

| Good introduction to the "Sighs". I regret having read the novels some years ago though, I'd rather have discovered the story with the anime though (especially since direction is so good). |

| This could be interesting. I never read the light novels, so this is all new to me, pretty much. And it was weird how Haruhi kept reminding me of Yui from K-ON! in this episode. I'm kinda losing interest in this season, especially after having to sit through Endless Eight. I mean, EE has an awesome story, but in terms of the show, do they really expect me to buy a DVD with nothing but EE episodes that pretty much repeat themselves? All ranting aside, I like where this is going. It'd be fun to watch the Brigade film the movie. I'm just holding out for something more "world-threatening" like more Closed Spaces or Time distortions. Maybe another renegade alien, but I guess thats just wishful thinking. |

| Mikuru-chan's expressions throughout the episode were priceless. Especially in the club room when Haruhi was talking about procuring a video camera, and MIKURU KNOWS WHAT THAT MEANS OH NOES |

| I have to say that I enjoyed this very much. Maybe it was because Endless Eight left such a salty taste in my mouth that any Haruhi episode with new content would taste like candy. Kyon's sarcasm and inability to keep up with Haruhi were on the overdrive that those are normally at, which is probably my favorite aspect of the series. I was laughing and smiling the entire episode. |

| Not as epic as EE, but still a great episode. It feels like Haruhi is getting back to its roots...except for the actual animation, which I still dont really care for. But still, I like how this episode linked with the first season and showed where the idea for "The Adventures of Asahina Mikuru" came from, showing that the producers are still capable of good storytelling. |

| *yawn* Only way this show has any hope is if the fanboys are satisfied with the few new episodes after a 3 year wait, which is pretty sad. As stated before, the animation dropped from endless eight arc. I agree with prevoius posts saying that a couple times haruhi looked like a character out of k-on!. Not only that, you think they would of tried harder to depict the "Sigh" after their lackluster display of EE. All around, it's a boring episode and with my lowered expectations i would still rate this a 2/5. I wonder about all the idiots who voted 5/5 simply because it was not an Endless Eight episode, sure doesn't take much to amuse the fanboys i guess. Edit: I enjoyed season 1 re-airings ALOT more than watching these new episodes. |

| With this episode, I remember why I hate Haruhi so much. All in all, this was a boring episode, and I'm quite appalled that after the quality animation during all of EE, I'm watching cross-eyed Haruhi, static characters and "camera" all over the place. It's almost as though all of their ideas were used up in the past 9 episodes. |
| I must admit, you gotta point. But we can't be so cruel. Those guys are trying their best and if anyone doesn't like something he/she should just stop watching and don't give a damn. I believe in them(creators). let's look forward to next week, ne? :) |

If you hated the first season, I don't see any reasons of continuing the second season and the "out of obligation" excuse is just nonsense. I mean whats the big deal about that? If its because you want to show off people that you too have watched haruhi, then do as you wish but posting comments like these do piss off fans and they are rather pointless. It's like saying "I love pancakes" during an international meeting on the world's future. |
