Have you had a thread closed you thought was valid "discussion" because a mod thought it was "chat" ?
| I can't speak for the current mods but my experience with MAL's mods in the past is: They were power-hungry. Years ago I created a thread on a new binary star found. One mod came in and, I had assumed, "joked" about people keeping it simple so everyone could understand. He said speak "English," so I replied in German (I replied in German because the people who discovered the binary star were German). Mod didn't like this and banned me. I don't think I've ever been banned for a stupider reason. When a mod deletes your thread, don't take it too personally. You might have been in the right but there's no winning with these guys. Anyway, can't speak for the current mods, so I'll leave it at that. Also, casual discussion used to be a chat forum. I don't know why that changed. |

| Most of the topics that have been removed I requested to be removed because the community went off topic and destroyed the original concept. But I really don't care anymore when I first joined the site it bothered me but you know its part of the challenge of creating a topic. 1. Has it been done before( within year) 2. Can anyone in the entire community turn it into something inappropriate 3. Will it be able to compete with the sexual and debating threads or will it just die out? 4. Does it meat the rules on the site, will everyone just list stuff or will people actually talk about that topic |
