| im really looking forward to the second season. the first one was alright although i didnt like the fillers too much and also the storyline diverged waaay too much from the manga that im wondering how there gonna continue the story to the second season. i hope they animate the circus saga since i found that arc to the most interesting out of all the arcs in the manga. |

| On another seiyuu related note, the official site announced the confirmation of Sebastian, Ciel, Grell and Undertakers seiyuu all re-signing for the second season. They had mentioned it before in the blog so I'm not sure why they suddenly put it in the news section but it's good to know anyways. |

| I am so excited to see the second season for many reasons. 1, the anime was a clear 10/10 in my book. I fell in love with Ciel in.. maybe the fourth episode? Somewhere around there and I had already declared the anime 10. And it didn't disappoint. 2, because I bawled my eyes out at the end and it didn't even end! I went through the entire thread and I wanted to note a couple things: 1. Ciel dying. If there wasn't actually a shot of Ciel dead, or Sebastian taking his soul from him, then I doubt he's dead. The only thing that happens in the last episode is them floating on the river, Ciel insisting that he's dead and him asking Sebastian to make the soul removal painful, and then Sebastian moving in. -end scene- not dead. Thats the way I look at it. 2. Possible ways to cont.? A. Ciel becomes a demon? If you think about it, when they were on the river, Ciel was basically throwing himself at Sebastian. Saying 'I'm dead, I'm dead' over and over again and basically wondering why Sebastian had not taken his soul. Only when they got off of the river did Sebastian say he wanted to take his soul then. Though, I think Sebastian might go a little soft and say 'just kidding' and turn him into a demon if that is possible. B. Someone saves Ciel? Someone could save Ciel? I mean its possibe right? Lizzy was very upset so maybe right before Sebastian attacks him, he reconsiders and thinks its better to live instead of giving himself up to the hungry demon. C. Sebastian has no right to take his soul anymore? When Sebastian 'leaves' Ciel, his seal doesn't glow anymore. So maybe when that happened the seal was broken? Sebastian himself even said he had no master to Ash/Angela, but then when Ciel gets shot he is suddely his master again? Seems fishy to me. D. Kiss? Hehe.. I'd love that. :3 Nuff said. I dunno, I want to believe that they will leave Ciel alive. Obvious. I fell in love with him the moment I watched the anime, and I cried for him when he 'died' even though this is not confirmed. I just think, that if Ciel is not in the second season, a lot of fans will be disappointed and the anime will fail as a second season even though I hope this doesn't happen. Ciel will live on! (Hopefully) Heh. :] I'm looking forward to this! |

I mean if there wasn't going to be one, I think 99% of people would think Ciel dead (and they just didn't want to draw it), however.. with no actual death scene, and a second season, I doubt Ciel is dead. I also read something up top about it being a dream? Which I kinda doubt actually. That would be a little lame as far as attempts go to have a second sesaon. Though, regardless of the way they make a second season, I will be watching again because I love Black Butler and the style of it all. :] |

I'll be watching this not only cause I'm a complete masochist, but also because I'm hoping for a second series which will confirm the events of the first season as a huge bad dream. So this is either a "Kuroshitsuji Brotherhood" making up for all the crap, or it's just going to fail miserably. We'll see on Jan 31st, apparently. |
| Just to kinda address the whole, "how can this show possibly continue?!" question- a friend pointed out some interesting bits of information to me. When Ciel asks if he is dead, Sebastian says, "Not yet, that will be my job," or something to that effect. Also, note that the arm Sebastian lost in the battle with Ash is the one that had the contract hand. Sooo, I suppose that makes him unable or unwilling to fulfill the contract. From what I've heard, the new season starts off with Sebastian picking up the last line from season 1 and continuing to say, "Now young master, open your eyes." :D |
