It may happen but that must be mega rare. Look at anime adaption of a manga as an Hollywood adaption of a book. For example Lord of the Rings and harry Potter. Those movies are really, really expensive to make, both in terms of money, time and workforce. The Studio/s making the adaptation are totally unrelated with the book publisher. So in no way those movies are made to increase the books sales. Yep, they probably will increase the book sales, and the publisher expects that and is happy with that, but certainly that isn't the reason the realization of the adaptation was decided. Is the exact same thing to a T with anime adaptations. |
