| Not bad not bad... still very cliché tho... I don't get why Kishi has to reuse a bunch character development techniques tho... I really see no difference between Pain and Sasuke now... except that Pain somehow reduced himself to bones and skin to control 6 bodies at once? But then again Sasuke reduced himself to a hands-as-wings retard with a star on his forehead for awhile... oh well... anyone have any ideas on how Naruto is gunna treat Pain after the story? I really don't think Naruto will kill him... in fact Naruto will probably protect him or something... |

| this chapter was a nice turn of events. Seems Hanzo wasn't such a great guy after all. I have to admit Yahiko's gang looked pretty bad ass. Too bad we'll never get to see them in action. And I'm starting to understand more why Pain uses the techniques that he does. |

| Lets end this flashback. Im bored, we all know that Nagato is in pain. Its obvious its because Yahiko died. Hince he isnt there and nicknamed (i guess) "Pain". Who cares? Kill 'em off Naruto! Needs moar Sasuke!! |

| If I were to drop a longer review on Naruto as a whole and mostly on this arc, I'd say Naruto quite nicely drops great themes(family, war, corruption, victimization), psychological/philosophical aspects, although the problem is it is often executed childishly and weakly, mainly because the world building sucks and the story lacks that complexity to delve into the deeper aspects of war, pain, etc. Nagato's dynamic with Konan and Yahiko seems nice, I enjoyed this chapter, although it seemed a bit simple at some parts of his story. Nagato's dream of world domination/world peace is similar to Adrian Veidt's plan from Watchmen, I wonder if Kishimoto took inspiration from that. Nonetheless, his dream is actually better than Naruto's, who simply mindlessly fights guys mostly to save his dear friend Sasuke who betrayed him 3 years ago. Pain seems as of now like the most agreeable antagonist from Naruto and I'd argue his goal is pretty good and the combined bijuus could achieve world peace through fear. |
