Aiko is one of the most tragic character I’ve ever read. This chapter make me want to cry again. I wish you both should call the police and go to hospital if you both can turn back in time. T__T

Aiko suffered so much... all I wanted was a happy ending for her and punpun after all the trauma and pain they went through.

Punpun's monologue in this chapter is just so sad, and his farewell to aiko is just as sad or if not even more depressing:(

this ending isn't sitting well with me atm. at least he chose this life instead of death with aiko, but it's all happening too fast

I can't believe Punpun is healing from all of this in a healthy way over time. Never thought we'd see this from him. The promise not to forget Aiko is beautiful, but it was nearly his demise once being beholden to her will rather than listening to himself, and again when he tried to decide things for himself and take her along for the ride. The truth (barring another disaster) is that he's gonna be okay and he can't be beholden to her anymore, it'll drag him down. And that's so sad to say because on one hand it's horrible to reduce her to that, she was bright and youthful and deserved so much more from life. But on the other hand, Punpun needs to move on meaningfully from a life of trauma. It's so fucked up to say but when he finally forgets her he will be truly free.

Death erases us all over time, and eventually it gets harder every day to remember the particularities of people who are no longer with us. One because it can be painful and two because the memories get further away from you.

I didn't start actually crying during the chapter, it wasn't until I looked at the drawings of Aiko on Asano's twitter that I really felt the emotion welling up in me and I cried. I could be reading way too much into this, but Aiko seems to be extremely significant to Asano in a way that's more than just that she was a legendary character in his most successful manga. I have to echo someone else's comment about wondering if Aiko is a stand-in for someone Asano loved who died.

Anyway, the last few chapters have been such a rollercoaster. I'm so wrecked.

PS I'm just a little disappointed seeing Punpun refer to Sachi as his friend and stating that the one thing he wants is to be alone. Ship sunk I guess

This is just so heartbreaking, but at least Punpun and everyone are doing just fine. Goodbye Aiko.

Easily the most depressing, tearjerking, and beautiful chapter in the series.

Beautiful dream chapter, one of my favorites. I love how the bubbles and text are reversed. Punpun is speaking in speech bubbles, while Aiko's speaking in the white text boxes. Usually it's the other way around (punpun speaking in black text boxes). Punpun is actually moving forward from Aiko and this is his last goodbye. Still hate how he treated Aiko, that was fucking deplorable.

"I'm sorry. Aiko". damn though. i hope he isnt forgetting about aiko, considering her wish was to not be forgotten to begin with. but i dont think he'll ever forget either.
