| In Japan, dolls are considered living creatures, if the owner doesn't throw it away in a ceremony it keeps on living, so the same way Nina felt abandoned by her father, Nina's doll felt abandoned by Nina. The fact that Ai didn't take the doll's revenge, despite the living dolls I said before, might be related to one life for another and we can't compare a doll's life to a human, or the doll's request was to "kill her father" and: (1) she is a doll, thus she doesn't have a father; (2) even if she referred to real Nina's father he was already dead, thus there are three possibilities why Ai didn't take the request: A doll's life doesn't have the same weight as human's; Ai can't kill a doll's father because dolls don't have fathers or; Ai couldn't kill real Nina's father because he was long gone already. About that larvae, it seems it is called "冬虫夏草" and it is raw material for Chinese herbal medicine for kidney deficiency and oddly enough one of the effects of using it is lowering the temperature of one's bodies - sure that a doll doesn't have heat of its own, but might be a hint on the usage of the medicine. So Nina was probably dying of some kidney deficiency and what the reporter saw was probably Nina's, always carrying her doll around, memories: her father desperately trying to find a cure. |

| We have finally have it, an episode with no one going to hell and no candle being lit in anyone's name. Ok but they went straight up disney on this episode. What the hell was the doll all about? What kind of sanitarium was it? What the hell was the scientist guy doing? Who was the girl's father? What the did girl die from? Why would a doll come to life? Why could she control the plants? Why didn't Enma accept her request? So many unanswered questions. |

| LOL they literally went to Silent Hill. First with the strong fog, then with the strange experiments with the test tubes and the creepy vine humanoid entities. Well looks like Hell girl isn't completely evil and is for some reason in contact with Tsugumi. I really liked this episode. |
| Kind of a refreshing episode. No Hell path in this one, but one of the phenomena of the lost soul of Nina who's presence and powers are captivating for a doll. Still, Ai dictates the floor. |
