A football episode, well gotta say I didn't see that coming >>

Renton not knowing how to pass, what a dolt, I get he hasn't played with others but even Eureka learned quick by watching.

I was gonna say I bet he just wanted them to have fun and that was it.

Honestly, all the whining about it being filler. Not every episodes need to be PLOT PLOT PLOT in order to be good. Character focused episodes can be entertaining in their own ways.

WHAT? COULD IT BE? WAS THAT A CAPTAIN TSUBASA REFERENCE???? Okay, but seriously, this was the closest to a filler episode. Still liked it but the worst episode since the Stoner recap.

One of the best episodes, pretty much as fun as those at the beginning.

Eureka and Renton went all Captain Tsubasa at the end lol

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

*sigh*...seriously? A soccer episode? Again; this episode would be fine in isolation, but not with 10 episodes left in the series, especially for the clear direction they wanted to take this show when Norb was introduced. How are Dominic and Aenemone's arcs possibly going to be wrapped properly when we still have to deal with Dewey, his team of child soldiers, the remaining sages, norb, adroc, Renton's sister, and possibly whatever info dump still needs to be had for the coralians.
This narrative turned into such a mess; and started with an unbelievably slow Act I.

The last 3 episodes would have been much better suited in the beginning of Act II.

Renton got some mad tekkers to him, he's already better than most players in that Arsenal FC team currently in the UK so he should fly out there to apply for them. It was mostly a filler-like episode but there were enough ridiculous bullshit like Holland's face being obliterated by Eureka and Renton to jump even higher, and then both of them doing the Twin Shot from Captain Tsubasa at the end was awesome. Ridiculous episode but I don't mind entertaining downtime episodes like these. Definitely would be better than the actual main story they're going for with these final 11 episodes.

I used to not mind this episode, I thought "alright this is a 50 episode series I won't mind a single filler episode" But then I realized something...
This is a filler episode where the characters decide to relax by playing sports.
In an anime where one of the central ideas was a sport where people surf in the sky...and the main group was filled with professional lifters...
SO WHY WASN'T THIS A FILLER EPISODE WHERE THEY LIFTED?!?!? IT'S SO OBVIOUS!!! Man, I was disappointed once I realized this.
This episode was a mistake and should've been a lifting competition. Where we get to see the character's special lifting styles and tricks.
I'm disappointed, but otherwise great show.

What the fuck am I watching? Inazuma 11? Captain Tsubasa? Champions' League? Huh????????

Aside from both Renton and Eureka deservingly stepping on Holland's face and landing on his back, there isn't much else... You could argue that there's a little character development here, but come on. It's only a filler.
