Huh, 85.1% compatibility.

Oh hey, another person that's watched blue gender. Even though It was on adult swim in the early 2000's nobody seemed to have watched it. I rewatched it recently; pratically marathoned it.

Code Geass r1/r2 - If you can get past a few plot holes and silliness this is a lot of fun.

Gits sac 2nd gig: This is awesome, great cyberpunk/political show.

Eureka 7 - Very solid mecha with romance and comedy elements.

Higurashi no naku koro ni - The slice of life cutness is irritating but if you stick with it through season 2 this show is awesome.

LOGH - Highest recommendation, epic space opera with loads of great characters.

5 Centimeters per Second - Very suitable for you, considering that you seem to enjoy quality slice of life.
Jigoku Shoujo - Continue watching till the second season. Then drop on the third.

Another - High shock factor. Quite gruesome. Very good if that's what you're into.
Ergo Proxy - One of my personal favourites. I think you may enjoy it considering what you've given high ratings.
Higashi no Eden - I loved this. A bit lacklustre in some ways and definitely could of used more episodes, though.
Howl's Moving Castle - A quality Ghibli film.
My Neighbor Totoro - Refer to the above.
Ouran Koukou Host Club - A must watch. Another one of my favourites, and probably one of the highest rated 'slice-of-life' types out there. Doesn't disappoint. Pretty innocent aside from a few dirty jokes here and there.
Steins;Gate - Only a few episode in but I can tell it'll be brilliant. My friends rave about it.

Accel World - It takes up to the fourth episode before things start getting interesting, but I believe it's worth the wait. It's one of the good shows this season.

Acchi Kocchi - Here's another good show this season. Cute art styles and pretty hilarious scenes make it a must-watch.

Ano Natsu de Matteru - This actually depends if you like outright romance stories or not. The comedy isn't enough to overlook the romance factor, but it is a really good watch nevertheless. If you do like romances, then I recommend this.

Bakemonogatari - You should watch this. Really. Excellent art direction, animation and script. Also, the opening and ending themes are awesome. :D

D.Gray-man - I dropped this because I read the manga instead. But, if anything else, it is really nice.

Jormungand - This is the best show this season hands down. (For me, that is.) Political issues and real-world situations merge in a setting that many of us are unaware of. It's really great!

Oh, seems I skipped one2the. Sorry about that.

@one2the

5 Centimeters per Second - Pretty visuals. Very pretty visuals. The story was fine, but the visuals make the movie all the more interesting.

Minami-ke - Think of K-ON! without the singing. I think it has that kind of humor and appeal. It's still pretty decent, though.

School Rumble - This show has Baka and Test-level humor. Very very entertaining and hilarious. You should really watch this. You might want to read the manga to get the true feel of the series, though.

The next person can skip me.

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou is a pretty decent comedy as well.

Baccano! - great characters, nonlinear storytelling
Cowboy Bebop - episodic, great watch.
Durarara!! same director as Baccano, watch it second.
Ergo Proxy - Gloomy setting
Fate/Zero - Great action, nice visuals.
Ga-Rei: Zero - Great action, easy to watch
Maria†Holic - If you like constant nosebleeds then this is a pretty decent comedy.
Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen - I'd watch the series first for greater impact.
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei - How well do you know Japan, like as in culture or otaku life, media? It pokes fun at it.
Tsuritama - I like the art direction here. Fishing and aliens? Intersting combo..

ninja'd oh well... anyways
@Kemmi

Beck - Overall good cast, great rock music
[X] ChäoS;HEAd - It IS crap, putrid garbage. If you really want to lose brain cells then by all means go ahead and watch it...
Chobits - Lighthearted comedy
Claymore - Great action, bleh ending.
Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha - episodic
Death Note - Great overall
Fate/Zero
Fruits Basket - Yea sure the manga is great(haven't read it) it's still worth checking out
Fullmetal Alchemist+Brotherhood - Both have their own sets of pros, both are awesome.
Gosick - A romance story in disguise.
Great Teacher Onizuka - possibly some of the funniest comedy anime ever.
[X] Guilty Crown - The execution of this disgusts me.
Hanasaku Iroha - A nice relaxing anime, nice cast.
Hellsing Ultimate - epic bloodshed
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - is it that scary? It's rather insane really.
Katanagatari - Great art, dialogue heavy
Kobato. - my favorite heartwarming anime, it'll lift your spirit and keep you smiling.
Maria†Holic - Shaft won me over once again
Mirai Nikki (TV) - Great for mindless entertainment
Monster - Intelligence yeah? Perhaps it can prove to be overwhelming. Go Dub
Mushishi - dat scenery pron Go Dub
Natsume Yuujinchou for a slice of life it's pretty engaging, some of the best.
One Outs - the main character is a prodigy in baseball
Sakamichi no Apollon - Top tier of this season
Samurai Champloo - badass, a must see
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei - DESPAIR
Spice and Wolf - Watch it for the economi.. er I mean Holo

@BlindNostalgia:
C - Actually pretty entertaining. A lot of cliche elements in the series, but near the middle it begins to get extremely interesting.
Colorful - A very well done movie which will leave you thinking about your own feelings and emotions.
Grave of the Fireflies - A classic film which will leave you bawling your eyes out.
Kannagi - This was an alright series. It was an interesting watch.
Ikoku Meiro no Croisée - Such a sweet and heartwarming series. Not much is accomplished, but this is a nice anime to watch when you have spare time.
Kuragehime - Ahaha, this series is awesome! Even though the main character is a girl, you're likely to relate to a lot of her situations and feelings. It's extremely entertaining and very worthwhile.

@one2the i would reccomend both:

Jigoku Shoujo - in my favourites, it may seem repetitive during the middle, but if you stick with it, the story does uncover and the last 5-6 episodes are epic!

Also Perfect Blue - It is a total and utter mind fuck, I would interested to see what you thought of it when you do get a chance to watch it, I was left totally and utterly confused by the end!
