| Besides Okabe (for the reasons webkid listed among several others), Ruka is my favorite character because his story just broke my heart and I think he's absolutely adorable. Next is Suzuha because she's kickass. |

| In Steins;Gate, it's actually pretty hard to choose for me, since the characters are really good. Okabe, Mayuri, Kurisu, Suzuha, Ruka, and (yes yes..) even Moeka are pretty darn good. Main 3 are my top 3, that's the least I can give you! |
| Moeka is such a well-designed character. The reason people hate her isn't because she's a bad character, it's because she's such a good character that she's capable of inspiring hatred for her abandonment of morality for the sake of acceptance. Moeka's story is basically concluded now: once Lab Member 005, always Lab Member 005. Although it is interesting to note that Moeka is the only instance where Okabe openly expressed regret at making her a lab member, but Hououin Kyouma always knows what he's doing, even if Okabe doesn't. |

| Very difficult chossing between Kurisu and Okabe but i'll give the very slight edge to Kurisu. Really one of the few shows that has a very strong and memorable cast from top to bottom. | I love Okabe, Kurisu, Mayushii, and basically all the characters ^^ Honestly, I'd even say I like Moeka over the other characters I didn't list.. (Suzuha, Luka, Feyris, etc) It's been said before, but everyone is so well written.. well.. except ONE character. I ranted on this on a different forum, but I'll plop it here too: The only TRUE character I hate is Hakase Nakabachi, understandably so, lol. Although I wish they made him just 1% more... sympathetic? He's just a character written to be hated, cause he's such scum. Even with Kurisu mentioning the back story (about her being right whenever they debated and that hurting his pride), I still sympathized with Kurisu.. I mean, damn, what a scumbag character! haha :) Maybe I'm a weirdo, but I LIKE villains, and I think the best kinds are the ones you love to hate, or can understand why they do the things they do. There's two GOOD kinds: Sympathetic, and completely monstrous and psychotic... But then you have the 1 dimensional kind who are just evil to be evil.. and when NOT in a comedy to make fun of that stereotype, they're just boring or even annoying.. :/ Oh well, at least he didn't play a HUGE roll in the show.. We only had to deal with his boringness in 3 episodes xD; |

The first being that Moeka is overwhelmingly similar to me, and the second is that I wasn't looking at her fairly. I used to dislike her, but after really thinking about things, I found it hard to keep feeling that way... I never really took the time to see her point of view. Honestly, I feel really sorry for her. I truly understand her feelings, because they're so much like mine. I don't support everything that she does, but nowadays I find it hard to blame her. |
