| The start was excruciatingly slow, the characters are melodramatic 90% of the time (Snow and Hope got on my nerves over time) and linearity made me want to drop the game so many times... but where this game REALLY shines is in the battle system. The ATB Battle System is fun and fast. The spell and magic graphics look stupendous (and look simply jaw-dropping when played in a wide-screen LCD). And the battle theme "Blinded by Light" is a mountain of sugar to the ears. Simply put, if it wasn't for the real time battle system, Final Fantasy XIII would go on my wasted purchase bin at that lonely corner in my room. |

| The thing that let it down a lot was the OST, I thought, it couldn't dream to hold a candle to previous games. Until half way through the game the plot went on thinking you knew all the terminology and backstory. I enjoyed the battle system but it was just fast paced, but I didn't really take much notice of the spell animations when the difficulty spiked and got killed easily : o and I think the difficulty spiked twice, when you go into that large field, then when you reach the final area, minus the last boss, he was a joke. FF12 did hunting for marks the right way, I think. It let you explore all the areas, focus on the plot or go off hunting until you had no marks left, it has Balthier and Cid :'D though like ff13, the main character is appalling. |

| Final Fantasy XIII was really good, the plot was well made and the characters were amazing, the fighting was good as well but I'm a tad bit disappointed with the controls in fighting. Not much of a challenge but all was good >< I personally loved VII, everything was perfect, & the Crisis Core one. I loved the Combat Mode & Materia System. The plot too <3 |

| This game seems more comparable to a Movie then a Game, at least that's the way I see it. But I haven't actually played it, so I can't judge. Odds are we'll never see anything like 5,6, or 9 in a while since XIV is an mmo. |

| I Bought FF13 the same day it came out, i been playing ff since a child, i still remember my fav FF games, VII and IX, good rpgs T^T good old times, so i thought bout buying 13 and to say the thruth...the graphics are awesome, best graphics i have seen in a RPG but i don't like the battle system , no more good puzzles, and i'm not interest to clear the game yet cuz it gets boring... U.U |

To be fair, if the story was good then it'd be a better "game", it seems like SE are just rushing towards "lots of fast paced fights, and even more cutscenes", it's incredibly grindy and the only great thing about the game is the visuals. Paying to play a game and getting a long movie is pretty depressing at times. |
| Yeah I've been playing through ff12 atm and it is a lot better, it's not so much auto but you can create gambits, you can control all 3 characters, just a shame the characters were a big miss in that game, story was pretty enjoyable, plus the esper hunting (not that I ever use them) was a good challenge. |
| I also got this game when it was realesed. Man i was happy like little child getting a new toy :) The graphic is awesome. It just looks so damn good. I played so much i could every day because i wanted to know how the story ends. It is a really nice game but i hate the slow beginning. Thats why i put it aside for a while and played final fantasy X :) But a few days ago i packed it out again and started my second playthrough to get platin! The battle system is pretty nice especially later in the game when the battles are getting serious. You have to come up with a strategy for the oppenents and that fast or they will smash you right away :) What i just want so say is..: Final Fantasy 13 is damn good game. But i prefer final fantasy 10 a lot more( Maybe because it was the first ff i played). |

| The game was easy, but the pathetic comment wasn't really necessary 8/ Ehh. I can agree with the fact that the story was horrendously boring. Seriously though, try the post game a shot. The difficulty of some of the hunts can be quite challenging. Literally, its possible to die before you can even have a full ATB. If perfectionism kicked in, well then that's a whole new level of difficulty. |
| Obviously you're pathetic if you find a game hard, duuuuuhhh~ I jest, 13 did have stupid difficulty spikes, running into ocho when I reached pulse was hilarious. I refused to play post game though :/ the amount of grinding it would've taken to level up completely and get all items is unbelievable :/ |

| That's what I mean, I built up a good few hours on my original playthrough and there was really nothing for me to get if I plat'd, other than a trophy :p but I did like the fact that they gave themes for getting trophies, more games should do that, more reason to getting trophies then. |

| I'm not a fan of the battle system in FF13. To be fair though I haven't given the game much of a chance yet as I'm only a few hours in. Sadly those first few hours made me bench the game for a while though I think I might start playing it again tonight. As for FFV13... I look forward to it greatly. Everything about it seems improved. Large areas to wander around in, seamless battles, a darker story. Hopefully it will get my interest faster than FF13 |

| I played this game just for some demo in some Sony shop last weekend, yeah it has pretty visuals(but bad in my high expectations for this game)...but meh it was sickeningly repetitious for its linear gameplay, too boring for RPG standards... ...and I smelled Xenosaga and MGS once again: less play more watch! argh!*explodes* I ask you with full trolling, does it really deserve to be called beautiful? |

| Just started it and pretty meh so far. Vanille and Snow are each obnoxious in their own ways, and Hope reeks of Terribad. Lightning and Sazh seem cool though. And the gameplay, uh, what gameplay? The battles are all about pounding x (and occasionally use a potion) and the exploration and puzzles are whisked away completely. I can see many ways the story could move to be really awesome, but from what I've heard, it won't be going there after all. So I guess the question is; will this be more or less of a disappointment than XII? |
