It would lose my 10 rating and very upsetting as I cant believe how good this was, movie anime always disappoints. How would you feel if that happens. Cos kinda felt like that with demon slayer

It's not going to happen. There's already too many arcs they need to fit into a 12-episode S2 as it is. It will probably be 16 episodes or more.

Was this announced as something happening? And it would be 4 episodes if they did it unless it's 2 double length episodes. Also I don't see it as taking away from the second season it's just splitting the movie up so it wouldn't really mean anything like with demon slayers. That said I don't think they can split it up nicely without feeling disjointed.

oh no its not announced. Just asking the question cos I remember the demon slayer train arc being better then I thought then they wasted first 2 episodes showing it. it kinda bummed me out. but it wasn't as good as this film

this year we got so many better animes than solo leveling s2 so if it wasn’t that overrated solo leveling wouldn’t even be nominated

Crying about nothing. If it's a recap movie then don't watch. If it's added to the new season who cares you said you enjoyed the movie why not rewatch or skip

I hope they adapt each upcoming arc as separate season, like how demon slayer has been doing it. I think it would keep the hype going as each arc ends in an insane way.

season 2 needs to be a compact 12/13 episodes with an extended finale (40min+)

Id be happy with a 16 eps season which would help flesh out some integral moments more but it's hard to speculate atm. I think we'll have some concrete idea after they announce season 2 next week on jump festa

In the case of Demon Slayer, the TV version of Mugen Train arc was classified and marketed as separate sets of episode rather than being part of Season 2 (Entertainment District Arc). The studio later realized this approach required additional work and wasted resources, so they started producing compilation movies that include the final episode from the previous season along with two new episodes from the upcoming season. This continued until the Infinity Castle trilogy, which were always planned as movies.

That being said, I don’t think they’ll include the Reze Arc in the TV broadcast of Season 2. Instead, similar to Demon Slayer, it will likely air as a TV special. Season 2 will then feature its own content set after the Reze Arc, while the TV special will provide context for viewers who didn’t watch the movie.

Why? It’s going to be released to streaming anyway, why make it part of a new season?

dont think they will since its out of pocket and jt would be wasting money to reformat it, also the tittle of the movie is the Reze arc. so it makes me feel that this is the way they intended to release this part of the story.

no point putting lame hypotheticals here when it won't happen, and even if it did in some universe, makes no sense to rate the movie based off a separate release of something else.
