'Diamond no Ace: Act II Second Season' Unveils New Staff, First Promo for Spring 2026

The official website of the Diamond no Ace (Ace of Diamond) anime series revealed new staff, a key visual (pictured), and the first promotional video for the Diamond no Ace: Act II Second Season (Ace of Diamond Act II Season 2) on Sunday.

The television anime adapting Yuuji Terajima's sequel manga will air on TV Tokyo's six affiliate stations, AT-X, and other networks beginning in April 2026.

Note: The staff denoted with the legend NEW are new in their respective roles.

The Diamond no Ace: Act II (Ace of Diamond Act II) television anime produced by Madhouse aired in 52 episodes from Spring 2019 to Winter 2020. Crunchyroll simulcasted the anime with multiple subtitles.

Production I.G and Madhouse adapted the original Diamond no Ace manga into two anime seasons in Fall 2013 and Spring 2015, airing in 75 and 51 episodes, respectively. Crunchyroll streamed both seasons with subtitles.

The original baseball manga ran in Weekly Shounen Magazine from May 2006 to July 2015 and was compiled into 47 volumes. Terajima began serializing the Diamond no Ace Act II (Ace of Diamond Act II) sequel manga the following month and ended its 16-year run in October 2022. The fourth and fifth volumes bundled two original video anime episodes in 2016.

The Diamond no Ace Act II Gaiden: Teitou vs. Ugumori (Ace of the Diamond Act II Side Story: Teito vs Ugumori) sequel manga ran from December 2024 to March 2025.

Kodansha Comics USA licensed the original manga in English and began publishing it digitally in March 2017. The 47th and final volume was released in January 2024. K-Manga publishes the manga digitally in English.

New studio huh... You can clearly tell in the designs/animation. Hopefully OLM does a good job, cause they are capable of it, but we'll see.

One of my favorites is finally back! I just hope the studio change does degrade the quality even though i know that OLM can make bangers!!
