To be truthful, the situation surrounding OSTs this year has been quite poor in my book. Firstly, moreso than some other years it is more a case of individual OPs and EDs which I found beautiful and memorable than other in-series tracks of a lot of the series themselves, even for most of my favorite series I ranked the highest from among what came out this year. Like, even say my Top 3 or Top 5 series from the year are not ones I would note for their OSTs. Which is fine, as even taking non-seasonals into account, music is a major component of the overall atmosphere and emotional lifeblood and foundation of a series, perhaps second only to writing in importance to me, but it's not like every single one of my top favorite series of all time has an OST I consider amazing. And in a number of cases it's only one or two songs from a much larger set. So that is not something unprecedented and never something which can be taken for granted and inherently expected.
Secondarily, a few exceptions exist, one from one of my top series and two from series I ironically would definitely rank much lower and gave 6/10s, as sometimes happens (otherwise excellent series can have middling OSTs with a low presence or otherwise okay or mediocre series can have some beautiful ones within). But the problem is, even for those, the release situation has been annoying. Either the soundtrack hasn't been released or wasn't until very recently and in certain cases like that you don't even know the distinct name of the individual song/piece you're referring to. That's been obnoxious and limiting.
The ones I found best collectively from a series were Kowloon Generic Romance's OST - numerous songs, but first and foremost Tears of Sorrow. And the OST of Turkey! As another user mentioned above, Kowloon Generic Romance's was a real pain to track down and try and learn the names, if they existed, of individual songs or isolate them from a mixture or other audio of the series, as I looked for months and also only learned recently that the OST was released only several months after the end of the spring season (when the series aired), in late October.
Turkey!'s fortunately was released earlier. And then there is one song, the kind of epic and mesmerizing one which took your breath away as it played in-show and augmented the atmosphere of a particular scene brilliantly, from an otherwise very messy and troubled series - Momentary Lily. But again it's a case of not even being able to find it outside of watching the show or know its name, as I think that soundtrack is still unreleased.
So I'd post the ones from Kowloon Generic Romance, but as of now you can't even find separate video listings for them on sites like YouTube (at least the OST as one large mass is finally up) and from Momentary Lily, but that one I can't find at all.
As for the ones from Turkey! though:
Each Heart Has Its Own Beat:
Where Thunder Meets Resolve:
Sincerely, for Everything:
Ultimately Turkey! was a series I rated 6/10 and didn't select and single out as one of my favorites either of the year or even within its own individual season, but anytime since that I think back and second guess, questioning whether I should have rated and ranked it a little higher, it's always due to the music. An otherwise mostly 6/10-tier series with the caliber of OST of a 9 or 10/10 series.
Apart from those, if I wasn't excluding OPs and EDs, then I'm very partial to the Arknights season 3 ED (the OST as a whole is one of the finest aspects of the series and it's one of the most underrated of the 2020s decade up to now in my opinion, possibly second best of the current decade - not including all the in-series music I'd rank at the top of the year as it's a continuing/returning series which actually started in 2022), the Tasokare Hotel OP (favorite of year), the Tasokare Hotel (special) ED2, the Sorairo Utility ED, the Ruri no Houseki OP, the Ruri no Houseki ED, and the Kowloon Generic Romance ED.
