or anything like that going on? or is it just me? today was one of those days...

The cat went crazy today. Not ordinary cat crazy, but in a panic, and most strangely running scared from me, his aniki.

I managed to coo him onto the couch but suddenly his eyes darted to the nearby wall and stayed fixed there on nothing for a few minutes, terrified as hell. That's when I knew our poltergeist was starting shit again. This isn't the first time it spooked the cat, and I think I angered it with the violent fit I was having earlier.

Anyway things are calm now. I used a special servitor to banish that moron from our house (yet again), but it made me curious...how's your paranormal situation? growling sounds when you're alone downstairs? things getting thrown off shelves? pounding on the walls? WALKING DOLLS?

I can't be the only one

Many may share your same experiences, personally I don't believe in ghosts, I've never had similar experiences.
I consider the belief in ghosts to be a bias that develops with growth and with the environment and culture in which you grew up. I have never had the need to explain a phenomenon with "it was the work of a ghost".

But there are many mysteries in the world, who knows? :)

@Duado
fair enough, but sometimes ye olde rational explanation just doesn't cut it...
like when you have a 4-foot tall plush doll walk into your living room while you're watching a show, and sit its ass down cross-legged in front of the TV

you don't know how true horror feels until you've faced that btw

@Zarutaku
were you the one complaining of floaters a few weeks ago? you can get rid of those easily doing affirmations in a light trance state

Not in my current house thankfully.

My family's previous homes had some though. I saw a black cat walking up the stairs only to fade away, in one of our houses.

Our main family home was very badly haunted, many family members saw and experienced things there. I experienced poltergeist activity, as the wooden staircase connecting the 2nd & 3rd floors shook violently one night I was trying to sleep. It was like someone was jumping or swinging of the stairs, but of course I saw nothing other than the shaking. Felt trapped on the 3rd floor though and it was scary.
The house needed a deep spiritual cleansing and it eventually settled. No longer have possession of the house (no pun intended), although we still have the other house I saw the cat in, but that also seems fine, they all got the same treatment done.

No, wasn't me, my floaters don't really bother me, only a few show up sometimes, and it's kinda interesting to watch them, so I'll keep them for now.

I've had paranormal things happening around me for as long as I can remember but it doesn't bother me. It has never felt bad or hostile in any way so I see no reason to try to banish whatever it might be

You were having a violent fit and already agitated, your energy might’ve affected the cat and made both of you more nervous and sensitive to seeing or hearing things that aren’t there in dim light or silence.

im schizophrenic so very much my hallucinations are mistaken as ghosts by me at times and i believe all ghosts or apparitions are just hallucinations anyway since even our senses cannot be perfect all the time and is prone to errors too

but ye my caveman brain or our caveman brains still fear ghosts despite knowing they can be just errors of the senses

collective hallucinations aka mass hysteria happens too

I rather have ghosts as companion than living. They don’t care about unemployment, job title, bank balance, or whether you’ve pay bills, Ghosts don’t demand deadlines, responsibilities, or physical labor.
They don’t ghost your messages, quite ironic, right? or betray your trust.
They don’t fill the air with cigarettes fumes, or fake smiles..
I don't fear dead people, I fear living people who are capable of anything behind those fake mask they wearing

I have aphantasia, I cannot "see" things

our poltergeist is real and came from a possessed doll at a yard sale
the old woman who sold it even told us it's possessed, my mom bought it anyway

N2SD, friend, can you elaborate on that? Or maybe I missed a joke, if so, sorry haha.

I don't believe in ghosts or miracles or things of that sort, but I know a smart person who believes in the latter. I don't get it, but if anyone wants to read, here:

@XMGA030 natsume youjinchou had an episode like that when the doll came to life on full moon and isn't today new moon?
Recently dekin no Mogura had a great episode about ghost processing a pdoll protecting her younger sister.
Also detective Loki anime had a doll episode, even Maneki Neko doll in ranma terrorised Ranma and kidnapped shampoo. There was also a Ranma ova onsen episode about ghost doll..

All I'm saying doll is always the first suspect in poltergeist cases.

Fortunately, I do not (knock on wood), but I do have family members who had/have experiences related to ghosts. A cousin was haunted by one and they had his name changed in hopes of it getting rid of her.

Yes, like you go on a date with a girl and everything goes well, and suddenly bam, she decides to just ghost you the next day for no reason. Like, your phone keeps glitching - her name flickers in the notifications for a split second, then disappears. All your messages to her show as "delivered," but the timestamp says 3:03 AM, 1973... like wtf.

I've had my fair share of paranormal experiences

The most bizarre one was probably the Wil' O Wisp

I was alone at a very rural-forest area at midnight and saw a floating orb of light around the size of a bowling ball in the pitch black woods
The crazy thing was- although it was extremely bright, it wasn't lighting up the nearby area which is odd. It was floating slowly until it vanished into the far woods.

I'm still wondering what that was to this day, and looking for more info about it with no luck.

not quite on topic but I just saw some orange orbs again
I was outside an hour ago and there were 8 or 9 classic UFO orbs floating over town in a fairly close group
at first they looked like embers from a fire but nope... full UFOs flying around, doing figure 8s and dimming their lights down and back on and shit
I've seen these orange orbs many times but never so many at once and in full daylight
I always wonder what those idiots are thinking, flaunting themselves like that
oh well...
@-Shinzo
I've heard of those
so the legends are true eh

you really don't...
people don't stop being people just because they passed on
all the stories out there show they're still just as shitty as they were on earth and probably would only make things worse for you

ghosts demonstrate what I've been saying for years, that being isolated from people is always the best policy, whether in "life" or beyond
@Little_Sheepling
england seems a very haunted land
if you don't mind, how were the buildings cleansed?

@XMGA030 lol :P Anyways speaking of UFOs, I'm of the opinion that they're the same type of phenomena as fae or djinn rather than anything extraterrestrial

@XMGA030 My parents called out mediums to do some clearing that way, but the mediums started getting annoyed about being called back all the time, as we had so many. We eventually started starting doing it ourselves when we knew how to. Frequent visits to spiritualist churches removed some that were attached to us also until we could protect ourselves better with meditation exercises and other things. We seemed to have some that just followed us around whenever we went, but they either got sent on their way or found someone else to bother, as we no longer were the weak or easy targets that they prefer.

Nothing paranormal or spooky as far as I and my partner have experienced. The cats do go crazy every now and then for no reason and stare at walls etc but if that's a ghost then it's a friendly one as just existing isn't any harm, don't throw my books or I'll exorcise the fuck outta you polterhoe

@XMGA030 it's probably true, but I imagine ghost to be more like those in manga anime like Re-Kan where they become companions to lonely protagonists and not like Dark gatherings..

I'm reminded of a line from one seinfeld episode that -- to paraphrase -- if you're a spirit and you can travel to other dimensions and galaxies, and find out the mysteries of the universe, why the hell would you wanna hang out at some stranger's house? ghosts are stupid

not too long ago when I tried negotiating with the poltergeist in my house I basically pointed that out but it didn't work
I happen to know he/she understands english so there wasn't a communication problem
this idiot has been lingering here for 35 years and still hasn't figured it out...or just doesn't care, I dunno
but after I die I plan to find her and kick her ass for being such a piece of shit and always spying on me
