Tabuchi is hilarious in this anime, lowkey one of my favorites in this show.

The gym sequence was priceless. They had to set it up for others to find Oota and Kashiwada anyway lol. But yeah, this anime just practically wanted gym sequences to end up like that.

Anime only here.

I don't know if this is my personal experience as an American or just personal bias, but I'm surprised anyone in school, especially the teacher and class representative would put with Oota's hijinks. Realistically, Oota's actions could easily be interpreted as harassment and / or bullying (I think the Class Rep even calls it that at one point) and he'd be suspended if not expelled if he did this in an American school, or at least be sent to the counselor's office or principal's office.

Nowadays, even "gentle ribbing" can be grounds for suspension and the school would be held liable for allowing such actions to occur without disciplinary action.

Loved the episode. First of all, the part about the teacher was absolutely hilarious. Secondly, the scene where the student council president and Oota dueled over Kashiwada was so adorable. Each of them wants Kashiwada for themselves, haha, even though Oota only does it to tease her.

Thirdly, the final part was such a test of dirty thoughts. I think it’s because I’ve watched too much hentai. As soon as the gym got locked with both Oota and Kashiwada inside, I immediately thought, “This is exactly how most hentai start”, haha.

Last but not least, when they were under the sheets, I couldn’t help but think they were doing it, even though I knew deep down they weren’t, considering how innocent and pure this romcom anime is, haha. I really need to do something about my dirty thoughts. Gonna end up in hell this way.

Well I’m glad, my opinion on Oota stayed where it was at this week…kinda. We learned he isn’t just stupid but incredibly stupid, so I’m just trying to figure out why I should like/root for this guy at all (what positives have been shown that he didn’t f up the situation to begin with).

And Kashiwada liking him is actually just sad. It’s cause no one else pays attention to her so even with all his harassing and bullying, she’s like a starving puppy happy for attention.

I know I’m overthinking a simple, middle-school “romance” anime but I’m still hoping things will get better.

Oniwarada is so fucking funny man, him thinking Oota had a crush on him had me dying. Hopefully he works on that scary face thing and can get the class to open up to him more!

Tabuchi and Oota dueling over Kashiwada and Oota not being phased at all by getting a zero on a test πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Tabuchi is a sweetheart though and I agree with the others, she needs to keep wearing her heart on her sleeve. That’s what makes her, her!

Classic romcom locked in the storage shed trope there at the end, I love how calm Kashiwada is while Oota is so panicked lol. Very cute episode as usual

Damn that’s crazy, our school system really making marshmallows these days, I only recall suspensions for physical altercation.

@Old_Greggu It gets even worse, depending on the area in the USA schools can push their authority way too far and go after the smallest most pointless stuff. They can "ban" quite literally anything they deem "unsafe" which apparently, or at least in my general area, includes stuff like dodge ball, and in places like elementary schools, pushing someone on the swing, yeah, I don't think any parent could imagine pushing a kid on a swing being an issue, I mean pretty much everyone I know does that, but clearly the schools think it's an issue.

I get that schools don't wanna be held liable for any injuries, but most parents when faced with any decisions made by schools can't do a thing about it anyways. After all, what could you even do? Sue them? If you've got the money for that then good luck, otherwise, you deal with it.

I kinda love anime, for better or for worse, they can do schools however they want, whether it be a horror school (like in Another), got stupid things that normally wouldn't work (like Oota), or even just having a pretty realistic school (like in Teasing Master Takagi-san).
I like to watch some anime, I like to talk about some anime, I dislike wars over some anime, but more than anything I love to live my life, anime is an enjoyable and entertaining addition onto my life but it's not my whole life.

Oota is there to save his ass by making the class fun. But Oota's sacrifice goes unnoticed, haha

Yep, the "locked inside the gym storage" trope is as old as you can get, but for some reason for me it worked.
No tomo malas decisiones, solo me gusta apoyar causas perdidas.
Disfruté Mayoiga, Ou-sama Game, Evil or Live, Mirai Nikki, Big Order, Arifureta, Ex-Arm, Tesla Note, Shuumatsu no Harem y Platinum End
nope les falle con esa, lo siento pero todos tenemos nuestros límites. Así de jodido es mi gusto en anime, ¡Y estoy pinche orgulloso de ello!

Borderline 4/10 just below 5/10, this is most definitely an inferior version of Karakai Jyouzu no Takagi-san. The roles are just reversed where the boy MC is teasing the girl MC, but it's worse since the girl MC lacks all characters by being "emotionless" Honestly I don't know how a large group of people would find this enjoyable since there really is not much to offer. Unlike Takagi-san at least there was consistent blushing/ cuteness (art quality definitely better in Takagi-san) and even though very slowly some kind of progress here and there too, not in this anime. This is just separated comedy stories piled one on top of the other. This would have been a 5/10 if the plots make more sense and everything overall is a bit more enjoyable, dropped.

The show is somehow mildly amusing at times but it would definitely be more enjoyable if the male lead didn't actually behave like an eight year old. I'm not even exaggerating here. I'm talking "definitely more immature than your average ten year old."

I like that the teacher Oniwarada got a dedicated bit, what was simply Oota and Kashiwada sending texts to each other in class became something even greater with the added context of Oniwarada panicking because of the class’ mood, poor fella just wants everyone to enjoy his class but he can’t do that without the help of Oota and Kashiwada, even if they weren’t helping on purpose lol. The bit with Tabuchi in this one was really good too, Oota is always challenging Kashiwada so it was interesting to see Tabuchi challenging him instead, it was a hard fought battle but Tabuchi ended up taking the L, but it was because of too many compliments she wasn’t expecting lol, that was a cute reaction even if she doesn’t think so.

And the final bit in the storage room used the classic trope quite well, I really liked the sweet moment between the main couple there, although I didn’t expect it to go as far as having the two of them found in that suggestive position lol, it made for a very funny end to the episode. And there was an after credits bit giving a bit more context to why Kashiwada likes Oota’s antics in the present, it’s sad to see people stopped hanging out with her because of her lack of expressiveness but I’m glad things are a lot better today with Oota around.

You've got to admire Japanese creativity. Only one of them can come up with a scenario of a guy trying to make a blank-faced Kuudere show emotion and drag that idea out for several chapters/episodes and still make it entertaining for a lot of people.

Kinda disappointed this didn't follow the "I got rain on me and now I have the worst cold in my entire life and I'm hanging onto life by a thread" trope.

Not the fucking teacher thinking Oota had a crush on him wtf

Was Kashiwada about to say she likes Oota??

Why did it take them so long to find Oota and Kashiwada???

Sensei was a fun addition to the cast!
Oota and Tabuchi overreacting is always fun to watch.

Oota's slowly understanding Kashiwada's expressions.. he'll get there. But why the heck did he put up the sheets as soon as she turned around lol

Kashiwada's little backstory is so sad, now we know why she likes Oota, because he's always mess– paying attention to her.
