| It depends on the anime. While I'm indifferent to fanservice, I hate it when it's used without context just to grab more fans, for example in the first season of Classroom of the Elite, there are shots of underage asses every 3 minutes. If, however, the anime is contextualized and the fan service is used in a smart way it's nice to have it: Panty & Stocking for example. |

I am actually glad even though gintama had massive amounts of adult jokes and other similar alike female cast has never been fanserviced and instead fully focusing on them giving them unique personality, being very strong mentally/physically, unique sense of humor, and building up their characters, being very indenpendend and more. |

| Fanservice can be of any type. Sexual fanservice is a subset of fanservice. The term essentially means something that the fans love to see but not necessarily a big part of the plot. My personal favourite nonsexual fanservice is the cameo appearances of older characters (whose arcs are over) in long running anime/manga. I do also love sexual fanservice though, because why not. |

Fanservice in anime is great. It's a indirect way of communicating to the audience that they see you and care about ur expectations when it comes to ur favorite characters. Hence, why they allow ppl to see characters in different attire or a way that can attract to us as the audience. Keijo!, while a sports anime, does it pretty well just as water-sports cause obviously its not "normal". |

It's how it always should be done if an anime/manga creators wants their work to be considered good/serious by people. Fan-service to me refers to something that isn't necessary. |

Good Anime fanservice to me is shit like "Agent AIKa", "Najica Blitz Tactics", "Ikkitousen", etc... Don't need to see actual coochi or tits, just watching action of fictional women fighting and not worry about their modesty, is fun enough fanservice entertainment for me. lol The kind of fanservice that doesn't really exist in any other country. lol |
