School, Careers and Jobs are stupid and a waste of time

The people who work, don't want to work, and the people who do not work want to look for work; this is the opinion of the vast majority. Work as a whole is just a load of trash; money is not even real, and people just work for something which is fake. You waste 18 years of your life in school and then have to work. Some people start out at 16 in the work field, and they get burnt out so quickly.

This whole world is a circus, and people can see through it now. But people who don't work, look at it and say, I have to do something, or else no money, all desperation for stupid things like cars, buying processed food, bricks on a wall stuck together that costs an exorbitant amount of money.

Looking at the way AI is, it will take over. People are more mad and angry than ever, and this is due to people reacting to the economy collapsing, the economy is linked to how people feel.

This world is a circus, and it's time to enjoy life.

If the circus is exposed, the act of living like a neet is the real living, it's the most subversive thing left.

Oh the glorious NEET lifestyle, truly the pinnacle of modern world ambition, ignore responsibilities, you only live once, the luxury of being a nihilist jobless is available to everyone 😇

I like money, it gives me food, shelter and pleasure in this current world and a job gives me something to do. Life has always been about struggle and hardships.

Another MAL thread by someone on the dole.... if you aren't working, someone is working to support you. Newsflash: Food and housing cost money.
So the choices for people are- work and get money to attain both; or take those things from someone else.

I agree with you that today much of work is nothing more than legalized slavery, but unfortunately, we live in a world where if you want to enjoy certain advantages and services, you need money, and to have money, you have to work. And, unfortunately, without workers, you can't have most things...

The forum you're writing on was made by workers, the computer you use was made by workers, the internet connection, the electrical system in your house, the power lines running through your city, the food, transportation, the bed you sleep on—these are all things made by workers that also allow us to enjoy other pleasures instead of worrying about other situations.

The quality of work is shit, but should we blame those who work and need to? Or should we blame those who gave a few the opportunity to exploit many? Those people who can decide the future of entire families simply by saying 'hired' or 'fired,' and those above them who look the other way for the money that enters their own pockets?

@Duado Blame both of them. They are stupid enough that they chose to work. People do not need money to live comfortably and happily.

Step 1.) Find Brick
Step 2.) Find where old people live.

How? How can you live comfortably without money? If you want to live in a society you have to work. Of course you can go to a mountain without heaters and a bed

@Madeline_Fogg You need at least food water and a shelter to survive.
There is no way you actually make any of that at home, so you need to exchange money for it, since that's how modern society works, which I know you live in, on account of you having internet access.
If you have no proper income source, aka a job, someone has to subsidize your lifestyle.

If you don't work and still can afford not dying within a week, then you either live in one of the few countries in the world that allows this or your parents are rich and tolerant. Most people have to work or else they are seen not worthy of existing by the system. As society drifts towards a dystopia, this will become more and more normalized, and not being under corporate protection would be foolish.

As a college grad I concede that school is a scam, but jobs are needed for survival if you are not a nepo baby.

I hate working but I need money, I don't have any other option. Life itself is a scam.

Came across this while scrolling through fb and I agree:

While I want to gain more money and work less time. I think my work is useful. I am just too detached from where it makes real feedback.
My job is literally linked to improving a few % in crops results. But given I do it in a lot of crops. I am doing more than I could grow in my back yard. So if everyone in the chain works well as well, I am helping to feed people.

Most people are really bad at looking down the line. Life is full of contradictions, but the wind rises and we must try to live on

Honestly when my day goes well, it's more rewarding than sitting at home consoonming. Of course not every day goes well, however, I would rather actually try than do nothing, even if trying can be hard or painful. Stagnancy in comfort kills the comfort eventually.

Hmm....pretty sure when I buy groceries, and when I bought my car, they accepted my currency. Did you just learn what a fiat currency is?

AllAlone8 said:

I mean, spending excessively on a depreciable asset is stupid, though sadly I don't live in one of those advanced European/Asian countries where the cities are densely populated. I got to drive to get to a lot of stuff, though I will say Canada is at least more walkable than some parts of the US.

You know you can use your money to buy fresh food, and then cook it right? I do that all the time. Going to do it tonight.

AllAlone8 said:

Well yeah living expenses aren't great, granted this doesn't really support the whole work is stupid argument, when you need it to literally have a roof over your head, unless you got very kind parents, who do that for you lol.

AllAlone8 said:

Nah AI is hitting it's limits. It will probably eventually kill the stupid jobs, however, we can already see the limits on creative and skilled based work. Eventually maybe, not within your lifetime though, which doesn't support your argument. Boston Dynamics isn't going to be putting out affordable robo butlers for you sorry to say.

Granted even in this theoretical end of work world, people would still need purpose, beyond being a coonsoomer. It is eventually empty.

The economy isn't collapsing, at best the world is heading into a recession, which has happened over and over in history. Regardless, there will be likely more future crisies related to the climate, though this will not decrease the need for skils, if anything it will be more imporant. Plus you still relatively live in a very very good period of history.

Anyway if you want to be mad as a NEET fine. Personally, not everything is perfect however, I was way more depressed the year, I lived like a NEET.

They live off their parents, live off welfare, or are anti social POS that think stealing from people is virtuous (yes even in the anti capitalist societies moron you would have to contribute, it would be hilarious to see some of these people herded off to farm work like under good old Mao). Basically...they fit the stereotype of the average otaku lol. They whine helplessly at reality like over grown infants.

And for the record, I don't think it's humiliating to accept help from parents (I have/my stable financial situation is due in large part to them) or need welfare. Fetishizing being a lazy POS though is condemnable. Most of these people would be "happier" if they actually tried, rather than trying validate their hopeless lifestyle on an anime forum.
