| Nobuyoshi Habara’s spent the last decade mostly on mecha, so it’s a nice change seeing Sutetsuyo get such consistent designs and direction from Sunrise. He did the SB too, with a rare one from main animator Mitsuru Ishihara, good stuff. It’s your usual generic isekai, but it’s got enough cool factor to carry it. Solid visuals overall, minus a few compositing issues. The constant three-tone shading on closeups is a risky choice, but it looks great for now. |

| The opening scene was really well done 0:. I really liked the action sequence. Also, it's the first time I've seen an isekai person understand right away that maybe the people in charge are liars and he even skipped the affinity test! Very interesting. Long haired bro seems suspicious... I don't think Akira should trust him... I also wondered what they had to sacrifice in order to summon these heroes. |

| Really liked the art style they used. Story wise, seemed like the average isekai, but the concept of the MC being an assassin was interesting. Lets see where this goes. |

| Another one of them series I see in the bookstore every week and always pass on it because of the massive backlog I have lol. This feels like a mix of World’s finest assassin and failure frame/Arifureta. I really like the glossy look of the art style and the animation, especially for that final shadow magic activation sequence was insane. If it looks this good consistently, it’ll be solid. Story isn’t anything we haven’t seen before and I find it funny the studios are now aware of this so they give us these abbreviated introduction sequences. Within the first 3-4 minutes we’re already in the other world, skipped thru the training arc with the kids and we’re planning a coup d’etat by the end lmao. I’m sus on Saram, feels like he’s going to pull something, guy is just too nice to Akira. Feels like the hero will also take a turn as well since Akira outclasses him and that’ll make him feel insecure. You know, classic fantasy stuff. If this didn’t look as good as it does, probably wouldn’t be rated as highly based off one episode lol. Still, I’m easy to please so I’m sure this’ll be enjoyable. |

| JAMES CHEEK IS BACKKK and as Mithray too! So glad his not MIA anymore. I enjoyed this first episode, although the MC gives off Yuno (black clover) vibes, it's ok for now. The last 10 minutes felt extremely rushed, and them entering that dungeon only to see a snippet of the fighting, also leaving it on an unfinished battle, isn't cool. It has flaws, but it's better than some of the stuff this season. I'm looking forward to the next episode. |
| So, for an Isekai that was ok. I mean, I do wonder why it had to be an isekai, the plot would be the same without that.... but anyway. Characters design, checked. Animation, checked. Music was good I liked the background arts too, very detailed The seiyuu for the main character made a good work too. I'm always in for a subversion of the hero tropes Junichi Suwabe is part of the cast On the negative side... the writing is kinda stupid. Like, the whole deal made no sense LOL, but whatever, it was fun. I will ride this train and see where tt takes me. |

| This seriously blew my expectations out of the water! :D I read about this like a week or two ago and thought it sounded interesting but I didn't think I'd enjoy it this much! I need more! I need to know what the king is hiding! What was sacrificed to summon them to that world? Why did the princess give them a smoke bomb that made the monsters stronger? Did they plan to kill all the students? What about the hero? Why are there cameras? Are they just magical cameras or is there more technology? Can Saran really be trusted? I'm really not sure about that last one lol I'm so looking forward to the next episode! I actually didn't want the episode to end XD I saw the title come up but I wanted more! Really unexpected, and there's a good chance this show will fall apart later on, but so far this is one of the very few shows from this season that I'm actually looking forward to. |

| High 7/10 I'd say, the art needs some time to get used to since it's a bit too much leaning towards shoujo style (the bishounen sht, like Star Driver) but honestly this is just Hazurewaku remake minus the goddess, replace her with a funky looking king and his concubine (?) then just a normal group of classmates without any bully or crappy personality lol Hopefully this will be just as awesome and with a good amount of romance too though owo will look forward to this one, for sure |

| @Rixuel I agree. Though I don't shy away from shoujo or bishounen, you can see that from my list, but these days more than often I am just not feelin' it lol especially when the recent "normal" aka non-shoujo romance anime quality hasn't been exactly doing well like before :/ |
| This is way beyond my expectation. The soundtracks and the fights were amazing. I would have hooked up and been very hyped about this anime if I haven't read the manga. The manga was great 1st few arcs much then it was just dragging and getting no where and it takes like 4 years for 1 chapter to come out |

| Loved the prologue, especially the scene before the ending. Shadow Magic, huh? Is our assassin protagonist about to summon shadows from the ground like Jinwoo or something? Haha. In any case, I don’t think he’ll be able to stay a background character anymore, especially after that speech he gave at the end. |

How come some people here say the animation is pretty good while others say it's bad?
| @Zeldameister some recognize that this has merely a few standout scenes but average scene isn't very well animated. And the others don't have the eye for it, see a few frames of movement and go on to praise it. I suppose a large chunk of seasonal anime watchers are so used to terrible animation that they praise something when it's not as terrible. |

| I was really surprised by this first episode. I thought it would be another generic isekai with mediocre animation and a forgettable soundtrack, as well as a strong but clumsy and uncharismatic protagonist. But the animation is quite good, as are the soundtrack and the action scenes. I like that the protagonist is distrustful from the start, considering everything that has happened: that empire seems pretty shady. Although I think he trusts the knight Saran too much. I just hope the quality doesn't decline, because I really liked it. |
