Wtf is with Anko's storyline?

Her character had lot of buildup in season 1 even in current opening. She was portrayed as a cool antagonist with deep knowledge about vampires and how to kill them.
But in the end she turns out not to be as clever. she didnt have any real plan, despite having 10 years to come up with something.
I thought this season would be more like a game of cat and mouse, with more action and suspense. But it ended up feeling childish and disappointing.
How you guys feeling about this character and plot?

But it didn't work out, and she just gave up and became friends with vampires. this is so disappointing

The plan wasn’t to kill vampires, it was to make Nazuna kill her. Suicide basically. It failed because Nazuna wouldn’t kill a friend. Or anyone really. Plenty of story development, character development and emotional depth, great season.

I might be wrong but I think Ankos plan was to commit suicide when she realised Nazuna was completely immortal and she wasn’t able to to kill all demons

She was desperate, miserable, suicidal and acted mostly on impulse, so she was willing to do absolutely anything, even saceificing herself in a plan, that was doomed to fail just to have any, even tiny bit insignificance jab at vampires, because the alternative was just rolling over and dying.

Imo her background is fine, though I'm a bit disappointed as the direction seems to lead her being left as side character and losing all of the aura she once had as villain, if only she stay as that one creepy villain who simply decided to back off from the cast for a while just to be reliable later in the plot would be cool

so why she included in her plan Nazuna when it was high chance that she wouldn't kill her. If she just wanted to die, she would shoot herself. Her primary goal was peaceful night without vampires

she actually thought nazuna would kill her, thats why she said to her "you've never granted me a single one of my wishes" after yamori reveals she wanted to get killed by nazuna. Also about why she didn't just shoot herself, you haven't watched episode 11 right? She literally attempts to. Having a peaceful night was her original goal, but by that point she would rather be dead, so she didn't cared that much about the night. She did the whole thing just for nazuna to kill her, not really for the night

she spent 10 years looking for an answer on how to eradicate them entirely, only to find that they are functionally immortal and need to be dealt with on a case by case basis, and there is no blanket solution. she didnt really want to dedicate the rest of her life to killing vampires, and not even make a dent in their population.

so out of desparation she made a plan to depleate them of their food source by being killed by a vampire. but she is smart enough to know that starving vampires would send them insane and a hoard of crazy vampires is objectively worse for humanity, esspecially considering they cant truely die without an object from their past (at least as far as we know, the guy in the school was killed by the detective with an object from his past if i remember correctly).

but more importantly she was emotionally drained and kinda fed up with the world, so she moreso just wanted to die, and she wanted nazuna to do it. in my opinion she wanted nazuna to do it because she wanted to be validated in her anger by making the one vampire she ever saw as human kill her and prove that they are all heartless.

when that didnt work, she just tried to shoot herself out of desparation, and the fact that she hadnt even considered living any longer. but ko forced her to face that, and got shot in the process.

at least thats how i read into it. this is my favourite arc in the whole show purely because i think anko is such a damn well written character
