Though given that MAL is a platform that is based in the USA and not in China or Russia, I would normally think that there would be more focus on freedom of speech and freedom of opinion and that restrictions and interventions would be only for harmful content. For example, I see nothing wrong with people wanting to have some fun and post some cute Anime girls like what has been mentioned in #50 and a few postings above, even if the theme of the topic was not really well-mannered, but it could have been modified with the more harmful passages and postings taken care of and simply locked ------------------- I think I've already said everything I've wanted to say. A pity that I might never get to know why topicid=2172293 got randomly locked after a while and then deleted after having stayed locked for several weeks already. Perhaps, I get still too attached over the old conversations and my own user content. Also it's quite ironic, but me complaining about the censorship has got me back into posting, since I've originally didn't want to continue posting any longer from around the end of last year, but no matter how little it yields and how much I end up being disliked, I still find it to be the right thing to do to want to give my own perspective and wanting to help others and to be there for them, which all only works if I keep being active whenever I have the time and leisure to do so |
