the first season is more popular because it aired on crunchyroll what are they thinking airing it on amazon which is an unpopular streaming site among anime fans

sad this will just be a hidden gem so thoughts? but i get it crunchyroll will censor this a lot if they air it but still

for those who says it doesn't matter where an anime is airing
it 100% DOES matter where its airing because when shows like heavenly delusion undead unluck and sandland came to disney+ they were dead on arrival
its same with new panty & stocking and CITY the animation on amazon prime
as much as I hate crunchyroll its a fact that most of the P&S and nichijou fans are on crunchyroll

While it’s not as popular as it could be, I wouldn’t really say it’s unpopular either. Just as MAL numbers don’t mean everything, neither does twitter’s, but I’m constantly seeing posts with 20-30k+ likes about each new episode, and the fan art has been popping off too.

S1 was on funmation when it came-out. I would hold off and see the sales figures before make a judgment about popularity since many anime get popular then deflate within months.

@fahhad_alsubaie the dub aired on funimation back then but the sub version aired on crunchyroll

it's unpopular because it's not for children. my measurement of success is that they can produce shit like this and not risk their employment.

im fine with this level of reach. what im not fine is the amazon exclusive global release, i agree it should be on other platforms but not really because of reach but just for accessibility and diversity of subtitles.

Anybody want to sign my petition to have season 2 on Crunchyroll, let them take the shows's license from Amazon, and bring back the original voice cast to make the English dub more superior to the Japanese version after it ends its run on Amazon Prime Video?
