Nice ending to a series that, while overall good, felt like it took its sweet time in getting there.

I was surprised that Miyu and Kanata didn't turn out to actually be Ruu's parents (I mean, come on, they looked and sounded just like each other). But it was nice that they did eventually end up together, and even had a kid that looked like Ruu :)

So yeah, little rushed there at the end, but still overall a solid 7/10 show.
You've come a long way, baby.

It was obvious to me that Miyu and Kanata weren't Ruu's parents, and that the reason Ruu warmed up to them in the first place is because he mistook them as his mom and dad due to the uncanny resemblance.

Oh my god! Miu-chan is so cute. Although Miyu did move away once her parents returned, Kanata and Miyu did end up marrying each other 10 years later. Momoka graduated from a tricycle to a bike, and she doesn't call Miyu "oba-tan" anymore lol. Kind of surprised Wanya didn't change whatsoever. Ruu's older voice = perfect.

Kind of disappointed about the episode in general although the ending scene was lovely. The fuss about the dimensional warp seemed unnecessary. Too bad we didn't get to see baby Ruu reunite with his actual parents. I am happy that Miyu's mother's dreams were fulfilled (I guessed she'd see Wanya and Ruu's departure when they first mentioned her takeoff into space coinciding with the rescue ship's arrival) and that all their friends finally learned about the secret. BUT WHERE WAS MIKAN-SAN?! I wanted to know if she actually knew the entire time or something!

Anyways, I teared up at the ending. Although this was aimed at a younger audience, I thoroughly enjoyed it ^_^
These faces are so cute that I might just leave them here (#`Д´)´∀`)・ω・) ゚Д゚)゚∀゚)・∀・) ̄ー ̄)´_ゝ`)

So finally after 5 years of watching, it goes to my complete list. I was afraid it would by forever on hold. Glad I could watch the end and many thx for all the people who finished subbing. Good work!

Aww, now I'm sad. I was convinced they were the real parents of Ruu. Would have made it better, I think. Oh well, happy ending of a great anime. :)

The ending was a bit disappointing.

To fabricate the limitation with the two cassettes that are needed to get through the space distortion just to avoid having Ruu-kuns parents and the others meet in person.

What happened with all the space distortion that was enclosing earth? Who knows.

And did they manage to use the warp holes for travel? It took the rescue team over a year of flight time to reach earth. So another year to get back to planet Otto.
Did they just travel an entire year to meet them after the timeskip?

I wish they had given the show another one or two episodes to round off the story.

Edit:
I just took a look at the end of the manga and it is way different and more satisfying than the ending of the anime.
I wonder why they chose to write an original ending for the anime when the manga was finished around the same time.

Waru Waru come back to help with Ruu's pick-up.
A bit rushed at the end but the storyline was really what went on before.
Got used to seeing the Characters by the end, so a long enjoyable watch.
