Dear god this was bad again.

Where did the cool luffy fights go?

G5 is the worst power up in anime history. Ruining the whole show for me.

It lost all of the seriousnes we had before in fights and makes the whole show a big joke....
Im seriously considering dropping one piece after watching it for 20 years or even more.... Dear god do i hate oda for g5...

This episode has one of the best animations and choreographies. This is absolute peak cinema! Luffy vs. Kizaru is definitely the highlight of this episode, but so is Zoro vs. Lucci. The episode starts with Luffy using Gomu-Gomu no Giant to grab onto Kizaru, then swings and spins him around, making Kizaru dizzy. Luffy throws Kizru far away towards the ocean however, Kizaru easily recovers and uses a new version and Yasakani no Magatama to create light clones of himself and flies back to Egghead. Kizaru finally uses his light sword technique called Ama no Murakumo that he first used to fight Rayleigh into a stalemate. The animation goes crazy here with Luffy dodging all the light sabres and laser attacks from Kizaru clones with so many bright rainbow colours everywhere. Luffy manages to destroy some of the clones with Dawn Whip kick. The anime also adds Luffy turning into his giant form again and swiping at the clones, then blowing air at them, destroying more Kizaru clones. Luffy tricks the clones by running away and then finishes them off with Dawn Stamp kick once they've all lined up. This is actually Kizaru's decoy as he goes after Vegapunk, who leaves the Labriophaase after finally cracking the barrier's code. Luffy eats Kizaru's laser that is aimed at Vegapunk. The anime makes it clearer that Luffy eats it, and lights are coming out of his eyes and body like he is undergoing super Saiyan transformation.

The anime also does a great job Zoro vs Lucci battle with nice animation and choreography, along with Zoro's theme song. Zoro seems to be using his King of Hell form with Conqueror's and Armament Haki imbuing his swords. Zoro and Lucci seem to be an even match, Zoro even keeping up with awakened Lucci while Lucci's armament haki nails are blocking Zoro's swords. Luffy asks Zoro if he needs help but Zoro refuses and tells Luffy to focus on Kizaru. He says that Lucci isn't strong enough to fight Captain Luffy who has bigger fish to fry.

They also doing a great job with Bonney's fight against the Navy soldier with nice choreography once again. Bonney utilises her Age-Age fruit to manipulate the ages of every soldier, finally showing how her fruit really works. She survives after getting kicked through the barrier by Kizaru and survives the fall thanks to Sentomaru matching onto her. Sentomaru is now unconscious after fighting Kizaru, so he loses control of the Pacifistas. Atlas enters the Fabriophase down below along with Sanji, Franky and Vegapunk thanks to Luffy keeping Kizaru at bay and issues a new order to the Mark III Pacifistas. Atlas orders the Pacistas to destroy the Navy on Egghead, now the tides have turned for the Straw Hats. What will the Navy do next?

easily episode of the year so far, toei cooked a proper meal here. they keep 1-upping themselves even though i think it's not possible anymore lmao. the impact frames, animation and choreography all went crazy. even for bonney's action sequences, then we got zoro and ofc they hit it out of the park with luffy vs kizaru. they're doing the absolute best display of kizaru and luffy's df powers and it seems like next week's episode is gonna be insane again.

That luffy Idle head bop going from left to right makes it feel like he's a theme park attraction. Something truly uncanny, cool and terrifying at the same time.
Meanwhile Kizaru just seems to be enjoying himself on the Luffy Roller coaster ride.
Wait she can age the sword as well? doesn't that just make in inherently upgraded version of other fruits we've seen before like the Mature fruit or the Rust Fruit.
Because it can do both people and things, in both directions and can be used on yourself as well. Most fruits are way more limited than that.
It's a lot better to be turned into a child though, imagine getting older and just dying of old age.
"That animal stench" minority hunter Zoro is back at it again.
Holy shit the animation is insane.
Sanji bout to have to clear the search history of his brain after finding out she's a child.
Damn ominous Saturn didn't like that.

I love how Luffy plays with Kizaru at the start! Gear 5 really is awesome.
And this is the first time some of the Straw Hats got to see his new form too.
I just remembered that his Gear 5 theme is actually a variation on the Overtaken OST.
Vegapunk cares a little too much about Bonney, doesn't he?
Sentomaru the GOAT.
Bonney is damn good at fighting with her ability. The courage of Brook never fails to impress.
Vegapunk finally manages to take back the control on Pacifistas.

Old OSTs are back! Its been so long since we heard Zoro's theme.

The animation and choreography in this episode is golden for both Luffy vs Kizaru and Zoro vs Lucci. What a spectacle. The sound effects on the other hand, oh my god. Love the techniques of Kizaru too.

The To-Be-Continued screens have lately been very detailed.
Great episode again!

First half was a lot of nothing but the Zoro and Luffy fight sequences did look pretty great. At least...when I could tell what was going on. That Luffy vs the Kizaru clones fight eventually devolved into a mess it was hard to make much out of. It remained pretty to look at at least though. Alright, one more episode to go...

The only thing I can complain about in this episode is that Luffy throwing Kizaru scene was a bit drawn out. The best Egghead fight so far, IMO.

We got 3 very entertaining fights in this episode. We don't see much action from Bonney, but seeing her fight with her aging powers was a lot of fun to watch.

They extended the fight with Zoro and Lucci, which is really cool. I still love 5th gear. Seeing 5th gear Luffy fight against the group of sword-wielding Kizaru was intense!
