| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I imagine not everyone will be happy with this ending, but it was on track with how the show started in the first place - Hiromi's personal relationship with tennis. The last portion of the season was somewhat rushed, especially with the shenanigans and some of the characters needing more effective screen time, particularly Ranko, who was one of the biggest highlights of the second season. Maki was also somewhat neglected, despite being the bubbly preview narrator. I wish we could've gotten more clarity on what her life was about outside of being an unreserved support for Hiromi. Overall, some things could've been given more attention, but it was a great finale. |

| The last few episodes have indeed been a bit rushed. This is a shame after pretty much an entire episode that has been spent on Hiromi looking for Todo xD It is what it is. I'm still satisfied with the conclusion itself. Midorikawa and Ryuzaki are starting anew. We had a callback to Munakata along his wishes for the future of his player. Lastly, Hiromi who's happy with tennis and Todo. Started Ace wo Nerae in 2017 (which is not all that long ago compared to those who waited a few more years than that) and it feels so good that I've been able to see the ending to this beautiful series. 8,5/10 |

| What a great ending to a great tennis anime. Hiromi is technically in pro territory now. I'm glad to see that Ryuuzaki is not quitting tennis, but is going to travel to America with Midorikawa, where the two plan to start from scratch. They don't make anime like this anymore. This is pretty much as good as sports anime gets. |
