| *deep breath* so first off, i've always loved the "smart/precocious/powerful preteen" vibe (you can thank artemis fowl for that), but also i generally love the victorian gothic aesthetic, especially how so much official art bends gender norms of the time and it looks gorgeous. moving past a surface level, i really love the push and pull he has with his humanity, he's determined to get his revenge at any cost (i mean, he already sold his soul, what would be there for him to recoup at the end of it all anyway?), yet he's constantly faced with little things that make him either accept or deny his own kindness/humanity. i also like his consistent fighting past his deep trauma, never really facing it in a healthy way, more gritting his teeth and just doing what needs to be done. i find it amusing that he'll portray himself either as an innocent child or an organized adult, whichever works for him better in the moment. his dynamic with sebastian is also just hilarious, full of sass and backhandedness, especially for a dynamic in which one has to do everything in their power to keep the other safe/follow their orders. anyway i probably could go on but this is already a big paragraph sq |

| the overly large emotions in most characters in most shows resonates with me, some of these shows have bettered my outlook on life, as someone who practices art, I really appreciate the lengths mangaka and animators go for their works. And then there's the friends I've made, much easier to make friends as an autistic person when you meet them where they're already at. sq |
