From my perspective, the explanation of the background story leading up to this dystopian era in “Darling in the Franxx” is one of the best and only examples of an anime to actually incorporate relevant topics from Social Science & Science, as well as exploring many questions from philosophy, making it one of the most enjoyable anime I have ever seen, becoming one of my favorite anime. |

idk man you've got good taste in your top ten apart from DitFXX. a bit generic but aren't we all
| @Oni_Zokuchou Thanks. DitFXX is generic, but just superficially.. its setting, themes and plot seem to have been more a base for the greater narrative execution. DiTFXX does a lot, the production value was super high and overall the show has a feeling that of an ambitious project that in the end reached its production limits. Nevertheless what we ended up with was something with beautiful animation, VERY beautiful music, great characters designs, drama, mystery, action, ideas about love, acceptance and the importance of companionship as a means to survive. Additionally; adolescence, parenthood, social responsibility and finally sacrifice. I get that much of its execution, specially towards the end seems hastingly put together. I do believe it was, but that doesn’t change all the other beautiful things the show outlines. Overall DitFXX is for lovers of Sci-Fi, cult classic animations, robot battles, aliens, teen drama and many other things.. but above all else it’s a show for the romantics and sentimental sorts. To that end.. people think it's cool to hate on DiTFXX, but all I see is foolishness, a lack of understanding of the shows virtues and beauty. |
