| If someone has to monopolize anime, Disney would be my last choice for the company to do it. People here constantly talk about censorship, which is justified, but the real issue I'd have with Disney is that they would make every anime exactly the same. Remember when each Marvel movie had its own tone and feel? As soon as Disney cracked the code for maximum profits, they started making every one identical to the last. Same plot, same "humor," same archetypes. Every time. As much as we joke about every anime these days being a mindless isekai, Disney would make that the reality. |

If somehow Disney monopolized anime, shows would be "engineered" to appeal to "modern audiences" that exist only on Twitter. New IPs will be neglected, and instead we will have endless sequels to extremely profitable franchises. Somehow anime budgets will spiral out of control despite looking no better than your seasonal isekai. |

The company founded by Walt Disney is dead for all I care. For all intents and purposes, modern Disney is The Bob Iger Company in all but name.
If somehow Disney monopolized anime, shows would be "engineered" to appeal to "modern audiences" that exist only on Twitter. New IPs will be neglected, and instead we will have endless sequels to extremely profitable franchises. Somehow anime budgets will spiral out of control despite looking no better than your seasonal isekai.

| Ah jeez. What a toughie. On the one hand, Disney is willing to hire black woke people to act in their movies, but on the other Sony has gay woke characters in some of their media. Truly, these would both be hellish outcomes that would only entrench the West into its self-hating ways :( :( :( |

| A Disney monopoly would be really bad but that might actually be a good thing. It could lead the industry crashing and lead to an eventual rebirth. A Sony monopoly would lead to much longer suffering of barely digestible slop that no one likes but people still keep watching like how netflix currently operates. |
