..or... Marcus finds out that he's just a pawn of something bigger that made him believe he was in charge. The assistant was just a spy closely monitoring him.

"Manga readers are annoying, all they do is complain or spoil the anime we discuss in an anime forum.
They should really do their whining at manga forums.

It's weird this is only episode 6 since hard to see where this would go to the end when it already is at a point it seems like a final showdown

Yep, a clear contender for the denouement for this arc, but then, what will the story arc for the 2nd half of the season?

Hey, Gram buddy, after already having observed her sword sheathe, charge, unsheathe bit, what the hell listen to her trash talk as she of so slowly sheathes it, rather than making a quick attack before she finishes and draws it again? Well, at least it seem like you may have recruited a girlfriend.

@LordCrueltyV The difference in their speed and strength is like a human fighting a dragon, so he couldn’t just blitz her. That’s how weak he has become, and that’s how big the gap between them, but his 500 years experience makes up for it.
