I would love to think that Urahara's not been putting up a front, but is rather just exhausted. He's been working nonstop for quite a while now, going from Hueco Mundo, back to the Sereitei and now to the Soul King's palace!

And I agree that current Aizen, despite all his pomp and implied threat, is probably just depressed. And I don't blame him, lol. All those years of planning only to end up in a prison.🪑

Thank you very much. That makes me very happy to 'hear', since it has been a while since I've done reviews like these.

That could very well be the case with Urahara -he has been working nonstop, and we'll see him returning to action later. (I won't give any spoilers, since this is an anime-only discussion, but if you've read the manga, you'll know what I mean.) So, it could be that at the moment he is trying to recharge himself in what little ways he can.

@Tuliharja Yes I was following the manga weekly back then! I even have the notification emails for their releases that I still go back to check whenever I'm feeling nostalgic. I'll never forget how hyped I was when Aizen Kuro-Hitsugi'd all over the place.

But this adaptation feels surprisingly fresh so I do like to talk about it without referring to the manga. :D

I agree with this. This is a good example of how adapting from manga to anime should look like: have enough manga content, but also enough anime-only content to feel like something a bit more. Otherwise, it might start to feel like non-moving pictures are just being animated down to the letter which won't really give anything...but there will always be those moments that could use a bit more animation to feel like those have come to life! Which TYBW is doing so far very well~.

Although TYBW's ratings are inflated, (thanks to people like me) it truly deserves all the hype and attention. Each cour has been a treat, to both anime onlys and manga readers alike.

The decade wait for an adaptation was most certainly worth it.

I was lurking through there and here is the answer:

In the Arrancar Saga, Grimmjow has been defeated by Ichigo and he has put him gently to the ground to lay down, [than filler happened] after that Ressureccion of Grimmjow has disappeared and he was in his base form. Grimmjow has stood up and launched a final charge but he was struck by Nnoitra being left seriously injured. When Nnoitra wanted to finish him off, Ichigo saved his life, well later Ichigo got beaten by Tesla and Nnoitra but that's how Grimmjow survived to this day.
