Love him, hate him, but you can't ignore him. Without his struggles Re:Zero would just be yet another typical fantasy anime.

Author:- Let's make one of them Subaru's story, and one of them Emilia's story, is something that all the staff talked about and decided. If "Memory Snow" is a complement for Subaru's motivation, then "Frozen Bonds" is Emilia's complement. Why does Puck care so much about Emilia, what motivation does Emilia have for participating in the Royal Selection, how does Puck feel about that, and so on; In the OVA, I'd like to solidly take care of things you wouldn't understand from only watching the TV series. .....But to tell the truth, as the author I just really wanted to see Emilia move a lot is another reason for it (laughter). I'm sure all of the staff felt that way too, and maybe that's why they felt like doing it. Just from re-reading it, the action is more fierce than I thought. When I worried and asked "Is it alright?", they told me "We'll do it somehow." (laughter).

season 2 was made in peak of covid time so ofc it will not be as god as stuff made after or before amd to say that ova has better animation than season 3 is laughable

It's Subaru bro. Emilia is my favorite re:zero character but if we judge purely by writing Subaru clears them all by a long shot. Even tho this series have so many good characters no one is equal to him

Why not make a poll about this and see which character gets the most votes? Emilia is my ideal Waifu girl. She's beautiful, feminine and most important is is kind and generous and always put others before her. She is the most lovable character in the Re:0... Only second to Subaru.
Without Subaru and his funny cringe acts.. Re:zero would be generic, bland and boring anime. My votes goes to Subaru. Best character of the series.

In terms of top 3 during the coarse of Arc’s section of s3:
1: Subaru (on the 6th or 7th, his speech comes and it’s peak)
2: Reinhard (Finally humanizes the person loved by the world with his family situation)
3: Garfiel (Him and Mimi and his family plot line made the start a lot more exciting)

For the series overall my top 5: In no order after Subaru it’s:
-Garfiel
-Julius
-Ram
-Al

Al in arc 8 and 9 are peak.
Garfiel vs someone in arc 7 is peak (omitting the name)
Ram and Julius in arc 6 was peak

If we talk about everyone else from Vollachia, Vincent would be my favorite with Cecilius, Yorna or Eugard next.
