I had presumed that the gift she was going to buy would be for herself to use on her camping adventures! I seem to have forgotten how much of an endearing and compassionate character Nadeshiko really is. It put a smile on my face to see her buy that gift for her sister. :)

Great conclusion to the episode!

This anime. Seriously. How can something make me feel this wholesome? I had to go somewhere- anywhere to express how wholesome the ending for ep 4 was. Beautifully shot, from Nadeshiko's house going to sleep; seeing the lamp turn off and lights in the house move upstairs. Then as the lights turn off, Nadeshiko sneaks the hand warmer into her sister's car. Then finally to cap it all off, you see Nadeshiko light the lamp in her room (literally warmed and lit up my heart). Something about how calm and simple, yet how effective it is at conveying how much Nadeshiko cares for her sister, and how excited she is about her lamp that she worked all break for. I can totally relate... it's like getting something I've really wanted finally, then can't put it down.

It's not only this scene, but how the whole episode leaves breadcrumbs. The souvenir gift giving to Ogaki, then how they drop the handwarmer hints, then they purposefully tell you how much the lamp costs, and how much Nadeshiko spends at the camping store. At this point, you already know she got the hand warmers for her sister, and you're just waiting to see Nadeshiko gift it. The direction leads to this and knows you want it, and knows full-well you are about to watch the ED credits.... All this to be treated to this masterpiece of an ending sequence.

The producers really put their heart into this anime; not just the animation, but how well they can convey a feeling. Little things like this, and how in the OP scene with Ena and Rin: Rin's phone is always scenes from previous episodes. I'm so glad I finally got around to watching Yuru Camp!

Laid-Back Camp is an intensely commercial, unashamedly consumerist, advertisement for the tourism and camping industries in Japan, and specifically Yamanashi Prefecture. Watching this show gives me the same warm feelings as “shop therapy”. I get to enjoy shopping with the girls, and it only costs me the price of my Crunchyroll subscription. A lot of girls have gone broke buying camping gear they don’t really need.  The lesson from this episode: Get a job and spend all your money at “Caribou”.

The episode was very good.

Nadeshiko is so cute, I felt sorry for her when holding the tent. Looking for a job is difficult, I'm glad she managed it, I was scared when she almost dropped the lamp.

This episode was the perfect blend of sweet and funny.

I love both Nadehisko's relationship with her sister and with her friends. With the latter, it's always a laugh riot to watch, be it for the dialogue or the zany situations they find themselves in; with the former, the story always tugs at my heartstrings, somehow.

This time, the ending was so sweet, I loved the credits rolling over the night, and seeing Sakura discover her gift in the morning. <3

Ah, the struggle of finding a job and the excitement of your first paycheck, all too familiar.

Nadeshiko finally got her lamp too, and tripped just after buying it. Well at least she caught it. She also bought one of those reusable hand warmers for her sister, which is sweet.

Although no camping took place in this episode, it was still a great watch nevertheless.

With the money she got from her previous job, Nadeshiko was able to buy the lamp she always wanted, but she also got the portable hand warmer as a gift for Sakura, but she did it as a surprise present by leaving it in Sakura's car. Honestly, this was such a sweet thing for Nadeshiko to do as a way to thank her older sister for everything she's done to help her so far.

Give Nadeshiko 1 million headpats. She deserves all of it. =3

Even though it lacks a camping scene, we still got heartwarming moments. Nadeshiko finally bought the lamp and got some money to spare for a pocket warmer for her sister.

and she also bought a gift for her sister because she helped her find a part-time job that is close from their place!
The relationship between the two sisters is so perfect!

She even thought of buying a gift for her sister, it was so sweet.

The bask of night for Nadeshiko to surprise Sakura with a kerosene lighter as a present, I'd thought that it was a nice touch during the ED credits.

Aw. Nadeshiko is really wholesome when she gives her older sister a gift. Can't never get feel comfy more than this!

But that ending scene, it almost made me cry! That ED song can break me into tears anytime it wants to, but using it to show Nadeshiko sneaking into the car and bringing her Onee-san the heater that she wants...I'm crying. I don't give out 10/10s that easily but it's Yuru Camp, why not?

But the scene with Sakura and the pocket warmer there still got me big time....

Speaking of Nadeshiko, she's been especially likable in this episode, and she's been very supportive to her cool, older sister. She gave her the handy warmer.

The hand warmer warms Sakura's hands, and this episode warmed my cold cold heart. I waited for the hand warmer comment to pay off for half of the episode and it was so-so nice. Kinda expected Nadeshiko to gift it in person, but the handwritten note is very sweet too. I haven't seen a lot of hand-written Japanese, but it's funny how in Nadeshiko's hand writing it seems like hiragana is lowercase and kanji are uppercase.

Awww, thank you! I missed it.
