| Incorrect. It doesn't make it funny. It's cringe because of how overdone it is. In trying to be subversive, it became predictable, boring, frustrating... Not just the script by itself, which is already bad, the voice acting and the art also tries so hard to be dramatic, unique, subversive. "woowee, she looks so evil" stuff. She looks like Walmart übel. Shit looks (edit: and sounds) so much like Shut-in Vampire and Reincarnated Princess, I cannot believe the character designers are all different for each. And just like Tomo-chan, no matter how good an actress is, they can have shockingly ear-grating performances. Yuki's va is not even as notable to begin with. You could pay me anything to not even smile while watching this show, and if I did I die, and I would do it anytime. |

The exaggerated voice acting, the exaggerated deformed facial gestures, that's what yuki reminds me of. I'd try to find a graphic example but I don't care enough. |

I know, but just like Rie Takahashi voicing tomo chan, despite being so good and having so many other amazing roles, a bad performance is not beyond her apparently. I'm aware of the intention with yuki, tomo, and milicent, and all three of them fail by trying so hard imo. It's cringe not in a way that's funny, but just boring, repetitive, annoying and most of all unnecessary cringe that doesn't offer anything else. Comparable to making a villain bad by making them a rapist. It's cheap, boring, annoying and there are better ways. |
