Very easily the best episode thus far. R.I.P. ba-san. The grand finals can't come soon enough! |
| The semi-final wasn't completely useless, because they foreshadow the conflict of Genkai vs Toguro. If you remembered, each of those fights had something that Genkai and Toguro were struggling with. Talk of fame, beauty, hating old age, valuing youth, and wanting a legacy that lives on. Genkai preferred to grow old and pass her legacy on to the next generation. Toguro didn't want the next generation to have a fighter that takes over when he's older and weaker. That's why he hates Genkai now, because she's old. It mirrors that fight that she had with the clown. How he said that he hated old people, and that he wanted to die young and beautiful. Genkai more so mirrors the guy with blue hair, where she wanted her legacy to outlive her. |
| There was no need for Togoru to kill Gengkai! None at all! I feel bad she had to die that way. May her death serve as a motivation for Yusuke to become stronger. |
 She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did! |
| Grandma knew toguro personally and fought with him. Probably knew his fighting style and weaknesses. Instead of actually making use of this knowledge, she decides to basically kill herself. What an intellectual titan. |
| Yu Yu Hakusho is being a great disappointment to me in almost everything, but this episode was great. Undoubtly the best episode so far. |
