When Darkness is not in her masochist mode, she becomes best girl and I prefer her like that. (she becomes the funniest in masochist mode though)

i love seeing moments of masochist darkness cause of how funny it is and...

but it makes sense why she wasn't much like this season. also it was also very funny seeing other sides of her.

She's had slight moments of genuine seriousness in the past, mainly with Kazuma's behavior with YunYun at the beginning of the movie. But the LNs made it a bit more clear that this was always a side of her.

If it helps, the rest of this season is Darkness focused, and next episode you get a big ol' M moment with her!

So far she has been in Lalatina mode most of the time, so she can't exactly show that side of her.

There's more to Darkness than just her masochism. Like, she absolutely enjoys getting off on being in pain & will put herself in harms way solely for the sexual pleasure of experiencing it, but that when she isn't required to perform her duties as a noblewoman or in another serious responsibility she is also taking on that won't be revealed until Volume 12.

@Othawastz She's been one dimensional with heavy focus on her sexual assault fetishes and being useless in fight till now.

In this season, all 3 girls are more of secondary characters till now as focus is on Kazuna and Princess. When focus is back in Darkness, she'll again be portrayed as in last season's.
