| I think some rodents could contribute to the betterment of human society as a whole. Beavers are obvious, they build dams already, good ones at that. I think we could give beavers citizenship, at least in my country (and I also noticed it in from Polish videos) they seem to be well behaved, they can walk on sidewalks, cross the road, I think that if they contribute to building infrastructure then there is no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to have access to healthcare and legal rights. Nutrias can dig tunnels which is hard labor so I would give them citizenship too. I would also integrate squirrels and hamsters. All laws applicable to humans would apply to them too, they would have to start wearing clothes because walking naked on the street is illegal (at least where I live). All of them would have to send their children to elementary school otherwise the social services would take their children away. Eventually rodents would probably run for office but I sincerely hope that politics wouldn't devolve into species vs species. I think we can make it work, I feed the local nutrias and they are all well behaved. |
