It's an enthralling series. This is what happens when you have a well though out series based around a particularly interesting idea (how incredibly different something that doesn't age would be), and you don't rush it. The world building and character development you get out of projects like that are a cut above.

Though, the series is on indefinite hiatus now, so now all Frieren-chads get to suffer together.

@Rhae I honestly prefer the second one and when it comes to Frieren, the soundtrack is much better, Zoltraak and Powerful Mage are frequent guests in my headphones xD

I already watched the series twice, all ost,and music's are awesome, but 2d op is underrated bro, ppl say 1st op is better, I won't disagree with them. but 2en op is nothing less, the more I listen to it the better it gets, the 2nd op is more focused on Frieren character and has more depth to it.
and listening with earphones makes it even better, you'll first listen the guitar in one ear and then the other and the song hits hard from their. I won't say iam addicted( I might be) but iam totally sold on Frieren.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen an anime with a well thought out story, good characters, good animation, AND good OSTs all in one. If I had to name things wrong with Frieren, it’d be hard to think of anything. I’m so hyped for season 2.

Yeah, I admit that it's as addictive as stuff with 1% purity. Many spanks for spreading it across the universe.

Edit: I only use white powder with the purity higher than 25%, so rest in pepperonis, chief.

Steins gate is the better show for one thing the characters Actually care about each Rintaro trying to save Mayuri over and over again, really hits home ,frieren really doesn’t have anything like that besides a couple of flashbacks, we really don’t know any of the characters very well which makes you not really care about them it just really shows how bad the pacing is 28 episodes compared to 24 and we know more about the characters in Stein gate then the ladder the message of both shows spend time with the people you care about it just doesn’t seem like the ladder does a very good job of that

I genuinely love the show I just don’t think it’s a masterpiece 8/10 the characters are not as relatable as the theme of the show.
one of the cornerstones of its success is that the anime community hasn’t got something this unique in a very long time

just started reading the manga. Now, because I'm quite busy whenever i want to catch up with a manga, I read 2 chapters a day till I'm fully caught up. The Frieren manga is making this hard for me because it's sooo addicting😭. sometimes I end up reading 5 chapters in a night (which takes away time from the other things I'm reading the same way but I don't regret it😭) I'm gonna finish catching up sooner than expected. I just love this series

@Asahinchi Even the manga is very addictive. It's well-written and thoughtful and only gets better progressively so far, I hope there is a season 2 and beyond because even the source material is a 10/10

It is, but lately it's too much politcs and random stuff. The interesting parts for me were how Frieren remembered her companions (flashbacks), the development of Fern, the possible ship FernXStark and the journey to Ende to see Himmel (and Heiter) once again.

I think the manga has recently gotten of course from those story points...
Maybe the anime will smooth out those edges a little in the future.

The OST on the other hand: 11/10!
