| While the pacing's too accelerated and the anime's portrayal of how Tales characters do battle is a far cry from anything in the franchise, I adore Tales of the Abyss. The adaptation is a love letter to the fandom with alot of effort put into it. On top of having lots of winks and nods only those who played the game will appreciate the significance of(the openings & endings being an example), they even incorporated content from the supplemental materials. |

| Persona 4. For me it's the best example of cramming a 100+ hour game into a 20+ episode show. Too bad they couldn't do that again with Golden. Or Persona 5. Or Persona 3. But that last one is because they decided to go the movie route for some reason. 3 could have worked as a series. Not as much stuff to work with as far as main plot points, so it could have easily fit into 24 episodes without feeling rushed like P5 imo. |
