Oh, this awkward atmosphere around those two is just pissing me off -__-ˇ I totally understand Tomoe's rage. They should honestly start talking their minds to each other or it'll end very badly. I hope that Mayu's going to beat up Sumika and that it will finally bring her to senses or at least Kazama would show her true color towards Sumika.

As Tomoe said, the situation is a bit more complicated now than what it used to be thanks to Ushio. Well, the newcomer seems to want to chalenge Sumika in an attepmt to meddle in an issue that is not of her concern.

Sumika's words at the end of chapter 26 were the sweetest. While Kazama was truly happy to hear them, they still had some unwanted effects. She started trying even more desperately to hide and deny her feelings in order to avoid losing Sumika over a harsh rejection, and at the same time, she started trying to spend even more time with her, at any cost. It's no surprise that Sumika is confused and alarmed, and even feels guilty.

I have no trouble believing that things have come to this. S&K's attempts at maintaining the status quo didn't have the desired effect, that is, things are looking even worse than before, which is to be expected when two people, especially close friends, are not communicating properly. Now even the karate club is getting caught in the fallout.

It might be even worse to see Kazama's smile and to know it is fake than to just see her be genuinely sad. Kazama has cried lots of times in front of Sumika after all. And to think that she was the one who told Kazama that she wanted to see her smile. Even though they technically made up, i.e. apologized to each other about the events in the last chapter, it obviously feels fake. Kazama was lying, and Sumika didn't say what was really bothering her.
