I realized that some people hate Maa just because of the scene with Menya... But Maa had no intention of hurting, they just didn't know how to measure they strength and was curious.

Maa is fine, she is cute and likable.

Much better than Faputa who only screamed all day like deranged baby and clone Mitty who made Nanachi irrelevant all of the sudden.

Maa is adorable I could never hate her (has the gyaat as well) they called her a child and she obviously loved (valued) things like stuffed animals so I’m guessing she was just too rough with Meinya

Honestly I don't know why I feel empathy for Maa.
She is just relatable in her own way
I could hate someone like Maa, but she's just so innocent that I have to forgive someone like her despite of how she looks.

i don't hate her a bit, I was angry at her for a bit but once I realised that she didn't hurt menya on purpose the the balancing occurs and i felt sympathy towards her and the throughout the season she was the real one, entered underground area even though she was scared to death just so she could accompany riko, she tried to help riko anyway she can so she could pay the dept to riko even though balancing had already done that . that was enough to love and care for her and the doll scene where she cries after receiving it from riko that scene made me sad and happy at the same time I was literally crying.

I didn’t like them after what they did. However, by the end of their storyline. I grew a soft spot for them. So I’m still 50/50. Redemption was made though…

I’ve never hated maa And honestly, if you can’t handle blood and gore and violence, you cannot handle, made in abyss let alone everything else that the show throws at us, which is a lot, but other than that made in abyss Is an easy 10 out of 10 for me. It is a masterpiece in storytelling world building, and if any other person says otherwise, you’re stupid.

Forget that one. Forget her death even.

The author is CONSTANTLY telling us about butt, poo, pee and Loli-"curiosity", Maa's introduction was no different,...to a point where the story, sometimes, takes the backseat so we can get more weirdo scenes in. Season 2 doubled up on that. Gross!

Can someone frickin tell me what the hell was this scene where Maa was looking at Menya’s butt? It was so odd I was scared watching it. Besides I really hate this character and I get some really wrong vibes from them.
