Holy moly, Kocchi's past is really hard and sad. What do you think about it? I wanna take him home and make some good food for him. T.T ♥

This episode hit me really hard, I've had to stop the streaming twice because of the crying…the flashback scene showing how Cocchi’s sister has been taken away from him and their despair was heartwrenching and painful to watch…seriously, it was awful.
Don’t get me wrong, I absolute love Chi’s series and I know there are some bittersweet moments on it also, but I think this scene was way beyond that…it was so cruel and out of context in the general lightness of this anime...it came like a punch in the stomach.
Managing a feral cat colony around my neighbourhood I might be a bit biased but I can really relate to characters like Cocchi, who reminds me of the stray cats me and the other volunteers take care on a daily basis...but other than that, with all my respects for the author’s choice, I don’t even think a scene so emotionally-charged suits this otherwise very chilling anime as well as its target audience.
I really hope they will make Cocchi find his sister again further in this show, because as convincing his depiction of a stray cat’s life is, I think this segment was a bit tough for this series.

I feel the same way. I had to come to the discussion board to commiserate. I'm going to have to find out what happens to Cocchi before I watch anymore. If I can.

That was the saddest episode in this whole franchise. Maybe even a little too sad.

Poor Kocchi. The moment, when they took her sister away, was so heart-wrenching and cruel.

Just watched this episode and I'm crying right now, just like everyone else here. They seemed like a bonded pair that should have gone home together, but kids do have preferences and of course they're going to take the cuter, all white kitten. We have 2 cats, just because, we need to make sure they have companionship when we're out. Aww, poor Cocchi.
