| I agree with your guess being around the mid 90s was when the quality for dubs went up slightly. Before then there were some that sounded wayyy too phoned in or relied heavily on swearing that wasn't even in the original Japanese script. In my personal opinion i enjoy today's anime dubs more than some of the ones made before the mid 1990s since they actually try albeit to varying degrees of succession. |

| dubs have been getting more and more consistant over time. eary 2000s and 90s have good dubs, its just the vast majority of them suck. now most dubs are at least passable or better, but there are still some shit ones from time to time. |

As God awful as that Polish dub is, it's still a 1000 times better than any English dub I've ever heard. How anyone can watch dubs PERIOD is beyond me |

We've already exchange words on it. The choice of voices in RK dub is better than in Japanese. Performance of main character + that ghost [riri?] is on higher level than Japanese. The real awful dub is Black Clover Movie. RK and Cyberpunk are so far the best Polish quality for anime yet. The other official stuff are useless, not to mention that the accessibility to dubbing is a rarity. [I still need to convince myself to watch Belle and Blue Period to check what quality they have] |

| Depends on the studio tbh. FUNimation for example REEEEEALLY struggled with their earlier dubs. Dragon Ball Z's original in house FUNimation dub from 1999 is not good at all and the actors had like very little experience. FUNimation started to get better in the early 2000s as the actors started to get more experience and the scripts and voice directors improved. I think that late 90s early 2000s period is around the time I would say most dubbing studios improved at least in the US. |

But their quality was very poor comparing to nowadays stuff. So far the only good thing from the old dubs was the opening for shaman king |
