| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| I don't personally find it cloying, especially given episode 6, but I can sort of see how someone might find the first few episodes that way. But I think as more serious and exciting stiff happens, it's not all sweet. |

I get that he can come across as "too perfect", but would you rather him just ignore a woman that's being abused by her family? unsure. if you don't like the male MC, you don't have to continue watching. if it bothers you that much no one will judge you for dropping it my guy. |

The scenes of the cruelty of Miyo's family just felt more painful now that it's fully voiced and animated. The plot points of going out to the city, the hair tie, meeting Hana again, etc are the same. Though I remember a few conversations (to see more character POVs, but not that important) that were cut off, maybe because of airtime. I am not sure what OP is pertaining to with the feeling of "too sweet", because on my end it is currently still very painful ahaha ;; Kudou is very protective of Miyo, and Miyo is only slowly opening up to thinking that she is not worthless - I see it more of caring for each other and not yet "love" compared to other romance anime. |

I understand your criticism, but the post I was replying to had a bad argument as well. Comparing the show to women's wet dreams because a male character is prince charming-esque in a fictional show is pretty dense. So even though my tactics of making a point aren't the best, does it suddenly make my entire post invalid? I will say I also wrote my post tired and annoyed because of such a weird argument. It wasn't meant to be taken seriously for the most part. So I'm sorry if I triggered something within you lol. I will say, comparing anime being realistic and being good as a baseline doesn't make sense. "Good" is a subjective term. Generally, people can agree on what's realistic or pertains to reality (objective). If we are rewriting the story, assuming the events stay the same, and our character weren't that prince charming stereotype, would that indeed mean that he would abandon the main character? Why is rescuing her and protecting her "too sweet"? I'm just saying that there is nothing wrong with having a loving male lead that cares about a female character. Yes, it can be unrealistic at times, but it's a fictional show with magic. So why does the male lead have to be normal within that world? It is such a bizarre argument. If the show is too sweet and the characters are too lovey with each other, just don't watch it. Which I know that argument is stupid as well, but really I strongly believe if something makes you uncomfortable please don't subject yourself to it, and that goes for everything ever. |

| It makes me sad to see the shift towards "by default opposition" mindset, no matter the type of story, in the masses viewing media content nowadays. Like you provide them a dark + tragic story, they would be labelling it as "too intense and dark, our mind can't relax blah blah.." and when you give them a cute, wholesome story to remedy the serious tone they are like "this is just too cute, they overdid it..should've atleast added some intense drama to it". Bruh, WTF do you want in a story then? You do realize that not every plot can be a balanced combo of dark/intense and wholesome at the same time, right? |
