Is it true to hockey rules

I was watching episode 11 and 12 and I was wondering if everything being done was legal. Firstly I know pretty little of the sport and even less if there is even differing rules for women as I don't even know women's hockey has ever existed to require them.

Can a non goalie actually stop a pass in midair with their glove to recieve the pass?

Secondly... and I know this is a rule for men's but clearing a shot from around your goal pass the blue line and to the opposite goal is still called icing right? And is a penalty?

Hockey ppl, enlighten me

anyone can glove the puck into the air to themsleves, thats perfectly fine. If you glove it to a teammate then its a whistle for a faceoff.

Icing is when team A shoots the puck past the red line of team B without crossing center ice. This is not a penalty, just a whistle and an offensive zone faceoff for team B. Icing is negated if: Team A is on the penalty kill, someone on team A retrieves the puck before someone on team B does, The goalie of team B plays the puck, or the linesman waves off icing if he thinks he should for a multiple of complex reasons.

TLDR:
1 yes thats legal
2 not a penalty just a whistle, and can be negated for complicated reasons.
