imo if you dont mind reading mangas, you should switch to the manga instead because the later arcs are a disaster in the anime (1 chapter per episode adaptation)

If you want following fast to the weekly episodes i recommend skip but if you want see the all of piece i recommend see bc its good the fillers :3

Technically you can skip it, since it doesnt affect the bigger story as a whole and is just an extra arc so you don’t really need to watch it.

However, G8 is a pretty solid arc overall so it’s worth a watch regardless.

If it's canon to the manga/anime, I wouldn't skip it, especially because there will be throwbacks to things.

I'm actually binging OP myself; just stopped at ep694!

When I started watching last year, I actually looked up a guide, via Fandom, that helped chart out each arc, separating canon from filler; even having what the manga chapters are compared to the anime.
This helped me with figuring out how many ep are in each arc lmao

The very next arc G-8 arc even though filler is better than the next canon arc(after skypiea) long ring long road. Long ring long road till what i have watched is the worst one piece can offer, I got really annoyed watching that. And Skyisland too was just okayish above average.

Sometimes its good to slow down and have One Piece do what it can do very well: be very goofy and comedic.

While I think G-8 is pretty fun I wouldn't necessarily put it over the filler section of the Long Ring Long Land Arc. Giving them a try won't hurt you. You can still skip them afterwards.

So far I'm at Marineford and the only fillers I liked was Goat Island, G8, and Episode 384. The rest were either very boring or just didn't add anything substantial to me

Chopperman filler episode was kinda funny to me tho

As Long as the Sun, the moon, and the Earth exist, everything will be alright.

Please don’t listen to these haters saying that you should skip the long ring long arc, it may be a bit boring but it’s canon and super fun so you should diff watch it.
And as for the other fillers, you can do whatever you want w those, I’d recommend watching them now or after you catch up you can start watching all the fillers for the nostalgia (what I’m doing)

All fillers are enjoyable. However, the canon arc long ring long land arc is 100% pointless and boring. The only important part in that arc are the last 2 episodes that involve some ice. I almost dropped the show cuz of that arc. I would honestly suggest skipping that arc and watch the last 2 episodes of that arc. I think that is episode 227.

This is purely my opinion. But I highly suggest this and if you want to know what the arc long ring long land arc is about, you can go back to it when you are fully caught up.

I skip all fillers in any anime unless it's only 12-24 episodes per season. In the long run, they don't really matter. For example, I'm already in Kaido's arc, and I don't feel I missed out on anything. By skipping fillers, I could reach the story's more exciting and vital parts.
